No football to look forward to this weekend but it's a long Bank Holiday weekend so Mrs Tash and me are heading up to Yarmouth this afternoon from down here in West Sussex for the long weekend. I reckon it will be one hell of a journey as I have to do the M23/M25/A12 but I will be stopping at good old Ipswich (Burger King) for a snack and refreshment. I hate the A12 especially with all those average 40 mph speed cameras as you head up to Ipswich! Who else is on their travels this weekend and where are you going?
Yarmouth? If you really want to endure the M25 and A12 on a Bank Holiday weekend, why not stay in Southwold? You know it makes sense.
On the bright side, I guess that you'll be able to watch Boro gain promotion on Monday in a pub full of Yarco scum...
Wear your Ipswich shirt, I dare ya, and when they lose to Boro you can cheer them up by telling them what it's like to support a club that has won major trophies.
You should pop in and say hello to Crowey whilst you're there (but not on the Monday, he'll be at Wembley), best let him know in advance that you'll turning up though so that he can tidy up his caravan...
SWMBO celebrated a "significant" birthday this week and wanted to go on safari....so we're headed to Longleat for the weekend!
I'm old enough to remember when Yarmouth had a few (almost) normal inhabitants! Watching a certain match in a Cambridge hostelry with my daughter, then off to Dublin to A) celebrate wildly with copious amounts of Guinness, or B) get smashed on Poitín until the world ceases to exist!
This time last week most of you were booking Wembley hotels. Oh dear. On the upside thirty miles up the road you might be able to join in an open top bus celebration.
For clarification, I have the correct number of digits on each hand. Massive Leeds need no excuses, we have Cellino. What am I saying?
oh whoops my bad chippy! I will rephrase - this time next week you will definitely be making excuses.
