Everybody seems to be writing Arsenal off, delighting in telling us that we won't get Top 4 again with Wenger in charge, all of our best players will leave and that things are only going to get worse. So here's your chance to put your reputation on the line and predict our finishing position next season. The poll will run until the end of August.
It's when the season starts / just started. Otherwise you will get people voting on the poll on the last day of next season.
Could see you overtaking Liverpool. That's about it but then United probably will too. I've said fourth to be kind.
If Wenger spends his rumoured budget (£100m) plus the proceeds for Sanchez wisely () then 3rd is not impossible. As it stands I'd say 6th, but won't vote until I see what business is done preseason.
Once our transfer deals are complete I'll predict. So midnight transfer deadline day after a compulsory 'fan appeasing' panic buy of Mahrez who'll arrive with a short term knee injury niggle that will keep him out until March.
Gone for 5th as it's the new 4th and the Europa is where it's at* *until we lose against a bunch of part time footballers from Outer Mongolia on penalties in the last 8
A little early to guess, I'll leave it til August, when this thread is on page 82 on the board... not sure what the squad will look like. Can you hang on to Sanchez and Ozil and add players of their quality to the squad? The 3 at the back made Arsenal look like a very good side, eventually, but as per usual that was when all of the pressure of winning was off. They'll be top half for sure.
I didn't vote until just now, you muppet! I've gone for 5th, again. Can't see Arsenal surpassing Chavs, City, or us, so 4th is possible for them. But, they are competing with 'Pool and United. 'Pool will probably do about the same kind of business as Arsenal, but United will spend much bigger. Therefore, I see United nicking that final top 4 slot, with Arsenal left to battle it out with 'Pool for sloppy 5th spot. Arsenal finishing outside the top 4 in successive seasons ought to be the end of Wenger, and then AFC will enter the managerial lotto. They could get a Conte or a Poch, or they could get an Eddie Howe. We just do not know.
So what if they do, Tel? They had them this season, and they finished 5th! I don't see things improving any time soon. And if Sanchez ****s off, which he is likely to, things will get a lot worse.
Exactly, if they lose one or both, then they don't have CL to attract players of their quality to replace them... is the badge strong enough without CL?
