I use to go and see these guys in an empty Norwich venue and do a mosh pit on my own. Now they are one of the biggest British bands. I can't stop playing this song, the ending gets me every time.
I've had Biffy Clyro as my favorite band since about 1999. I really loved telling people about them and turning people into fans. They have just had their first number 1 album ever. I think this is their weakest album so far, Their new single "Howl" I have just watched the video. I remember it from the album. I never would have guessed that would be used as a single! Anyone else had these feelings? I feel like I have single handedly promoted this band for about 7-8 years, and just when they get the acclaim I always knew they deserved, I don't think the songs are as good. They had so many albums better than this, and they didn't even make the chart. It's really confused me.
I'm really pissed off about this GK signing. F**k me!! I couldn't stop laughing!! Is that you DD? It's kind of how I imagine you!
Josh Widdicombe show on XFM always had songs from celebs you never knew released singles. This is one they always refer to and play clips of as an example. It's so funny.
Biffy use to totally love Norwich. Always came here on tours. They did a signing in HMV as their new single was realised the day they were there to gig. I skipped college and got there, and got my CD single signed. Met them and shook their hands. They are now too popular. Even though the songs aren't as good. This is a cross over song between the class, and the new. I adore it.
I'm not sure everyone loves Biffy, I can think of one who maybe doesn't This, whilst sipping a Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge is more my thing for a relaxing evening:
I saw this man live in concert at Lincoln's Theatre Royal and met him afterwards and asked him how on earth he made that train whistle sound and he said, " you kinda gargle and whistle at the same time, just like this!" He stood there and did it and I was thrilled!
Any fans of the blues out there? I just heard this on Planet Rock blues program, 9-10 Thursdays it seems. Powerful stuff - and stunning blues guitar
Brilliant! Hadn't heard of her until recently, but I'm a huge fan of Jeff Beck and happened upon this: Made me want to find out more, and this fits right in.
Me too - and I so rate Tal Wilkenfeld as his bass player. Clever gal I rarely post on this thread so good to get a positive response on the odd occasion I do
