I like the FA Cup

Hardly seems worth paying someone for a grade zero. Have you ever used a Wahl mate?

I just know we won't have our first team out today and that intensity from our game will be lacking with an air of 'it's only Wycombe'. I'm one with the romance of the Cup...I get it.

Yeah I got a Wahl. I do it myself normally but sometimes I just can't be arsed with the hassle of getting it out, cleaning up after etc...6 quid all in.

This weekend much like last. Putting up fences in the garden to make it puppy safe. Making the panels myself due to the shape of the garden and having to work amongst Hawthorn and pyracanthas bushes ...thorns are a real bastard ...get cut to fcuk. :)

I used to work as a chef many moons ago. I remember being asked to cook a steak 'blue' and the head chef telling me to just sear both sides on the griddle and send it. It's literally raw meat with browned edge.

Watching Klopp not take the FA cup seriously <doh>

Frustrates me that teams don't these days..

Is the romance of the FA Cup dead for the big clubs due to money? I think so. Shame.

I know someone who simply told the waiter to wipe the cow's arse and then plonk the animal on a plate <laugh>

That's how my brother has his steak. He claims if the quality is good enough, it's all it needs.

It does need to be quality steak and a really good cut too, so something like a fillet is best. Being practically raw, you do not want to be chewing away on that endlessly, so it has to be a lean cut with no fat and is best cooked when the steak has been left to reach ambient room temp. You don't want the middle to be cold.

Went to South West Fance last summer and, on a day out, ordered the whole 'Cote De Boeuf' for the family at a nice little restaurant in Narjac - now me and my girls all like our steaks medium rare but the missus thinks we are savages and prefers hers less 'mooing' ... the waiter heard us discussing it and, somewhat apologetically, said to her in no uncertain terms that the chef would refuse to cook it anything more than medium rare <laugh> ... worked out fine ... she just had the end bits <laugh>

You can't do blue steak and it be warm in the middle.
    Rare, you can.

It should never be cold as you you should cook the ****er from room temperature, not from from the fridge.

I honestly don't see why anything other than rare is an option, it's perfect for all cuts. Maybe medium rare for a rump and sirloin.

Anything medium and above is sacrilege.

    Right..

Just back from the cinema and I watched T2:Trainspotting.

Basically if you have fond memories of the first one this ****ing film will ruin them.

Other than the music and the occasional look back at the first one I can't see what the **** this has to offer at all. The original was a master piece, original, edgy, and exciting. This one tries to be all those but fails.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen worse films this year but to try and follow up a classic such as Trainspotting with this just shows what a sell out this was.

Anyone that knows the script of the book and theater production will find some of this hilarious with what they do with Spud, such a kop out tbh.

OK film. **** sequel to a classic.

    As does my dad!!

I was hoping T2 would be good. I watched Trainspotting last night as a warm up.

****. You've got me full of doubt now.

Is it based on Porto by the way? It should be, that was a decent follow up book.

    Very loosely based on Porno.

Look you might like it, plenty of people in the cinema seemed to be chuckling away etc.

For me, being quite a staunch fan of the first one, thought it was poor (in comparison).

It lacked any real story tbh. It seemed it banked that people would enjoy the nostalgia and the music.

It wasn't bad, and probably worth a watch. But I had high hopes.

It has left a slight sour taste in my mouth regarding both films now tbh, money spinning ****ers.

I also watched Trainspotting last night to warm up <laugh>
