Have you actually watched it? He glances down at him before he stamps on him, absolutely cast iron for me, got what he deserved.
That's the point, it's not on Earth. Without any Earth to have a standing foot on how can you possibly stamp. All you can do is fall, and that's exactly what happened. The question is whether he deliberately made it fall onto Ibra's head or did it by accident as a result of being knocked by Rooney as he went over him and whilst looking the complete other way.
He deserved more. Stamping on someone's head is a stupidly ****ing dangerous thing to do at the best of times, never mind with studs on. I really don't know why footballers never face criminal prosecution for some of the things they do on the pitch. Get off the football pitch and people have been charged with attempted murder for head stamping. A 5 game ban is pathetic, he should never play again.
Well I've only watched the MOTD coverage and they were entirely unsure just as I am. I'm not even the only one on this thread.
In my opinion there is absolutely no way you can say he definitely meant it. As someone has mentioned he could have been clever and tried to make it look like he didn't mean it. In my opinion though he's got Ibrahimovic lying on the floor in front of him, the balls gone out wide, Mings is wanting to run back to the goal, looked down to see where Ibrahimovic is so he can jump over him and then his focus has turned back to the ball and he's caught his head on the way down (certainly isn't a stamp!). I do not understand at all how it can be found as a deliberate stamp, the only person who really knows is Mings.
You are taking the piss? He knows Ibra is there then for good measure he looks down to make sure he hits the target and stamps on his head for christs sake. Not even a "sorry I might have crushed your skull, are you alright?" It's as cut and dry a deliberate action as you'll ever see. ****ing ridiculous to try and spin some fairytale to say otherwise. You're arguing that the grass is blue and the sky is green.
It's 100% deliberate imo too, he definitely has a sly glance at him, I've searched all the footage on google, and there's definitely one angle that clearly shows this, of course imo
Bournemouth have been fined £35k for breaching anti-doping rules. A spokesman for Bournemouth said 'chill bro, don't lay no heavy **** on me'.
I agree it is a derisory amount but it's not the amount, at least they got charged, as they should have been.
Hello I will be awaiting news of the £20,000 fine the FA will impose on Manchester United for not controlling their players during the EFL Cup Final. The incident when several Manchester United players crowded the referee in an attempt to get Saints player Stephens booked was identical to the recent incident at The Emirates when Hull City was fined that same sum. Please forward this e-mail to the FA Ivory Tower HQ where the ‘friends of the top six teams’ congregate and tell them that ordinary football supporters will not be surprised by their next expected hypocrisy. Regards Their response (26/02/17): Dear Supporter, Thank you for contacting The Football Association. We will endeavour to respond to your query as soon as possible. However, please note that due to the large amounts of queries that we deal with it may take up to 5 working days to be dealt with. As mentioned there are numerous precedents of clubs being fined for exactly the same behaviour (including Hull City at The Emirates this season). So will you please respond promptly to my question in order to allay any possible suspicion of favouritism by the FA in such matters. Good work Agent Craigo. Next time you write, maybe you should mention that you are going to copy in Damian Collins or Tracey Crouch. Maybe chuck in a Freedom of Information Act request also, to inspect the 'Customer Relations Team' service level agreements to respond to customers requests.
That would at least give them a laugh, the Freedom Of Information Act only applies to government run bodies.
