This match will help us sustain the momentum before the next league match.
Good opportunity to try out younger players.
Zouma ready? Can we give him a run out?

Come on Conte - continue your good work further <ok>

    Begovic
    Zouma Terry Alonso
    Aina Chalohab RLC Oscar
    Pedro Batshuayi Solanke

Like it. This is just the kind of game to give things a bit of a whirl. Maybe a few too many kids, but all of them are worth their place, so thumbs up from me.

Too much change for me. We're not in Europe so we defo need to give all the cups a real go. Plus it's a local derby and we want to maintain some momentum.

Rest Costa and Hazard but we should be playing at least 6-7 first teamers with a few youth and fringe

    Agree with you both.
We need kids to get minutes - atleast Bats, Chalobah & we cannot afford to miss on this Cup.
Think West Ham will play secondary team. They cannot afford long run in the cup.

i thought he was back fit after the Oct Intl break.
Looks like he has picked up a new knee injury and expected to be back on Oct 30th.

Zouma played 45 minutes in an under-21 fixture yesterday , so I doubt very much he will be in the starting lineup, but still possible as a sub. Let's hope so anyway!

Great news we will be better for him and gives us a different dynamic in the back three. I can see Conte creating pairings in two of the positions and alternating the third person depending on the opposition.

Which in turn allows us to rotate wingbacks or at least azpi and moses.

tell you what - Ake & Kenedy would be immense in this system.
They are rotting in the bench.

Incredible that the talk now is about which kids to fit in, we seem to have plenty who are ready to make the step up after years of seeing none. I always liked Ake, such a solid and versatile player. Suddenly our potential 1st squad has a great look to it, even without Christensen, Abraham .........................

If Conte has done nothing else, he has us fans filled with a new confidence and expectancy that I have not experienced since Jose's first spell.

Agreed, can't take West Ham too lightly it's not like they've much to play for. Defo rest hazard but have him on the bench with Moses & Costa.

pff, we're **** atm, we only have 1 defender that can actually defend, and we don't have a striker that can score.
Scub that, we don't have a striker that can hit the target. Zaza will probably start, he moves like an oak tree, and controls the ball like one too. He's a poor man's Carlton Cole.

We should really be going for this. Not being in europe the domestic treble should be our aim.
Hope we put our strongest side out with kids on the bench.
