Leicestershire drew with Gloucestershire at Grace Road
    Leicestershire 334 (Dexter 136, McKay 55, Cosgrove 54, Norwell 4-72) - Gloucestershire 403 for 2 dec (Dent 165, van Buuren 121*)

In largely benign conditions, in-form Chris Dent thoroughly dominated the Leicestershire attack for the most part on a final day spent chasing bonus points. Defeated finally on 165, Dent had survived a couple of scares but otherwise was particularly impressive, hitting the ball cleanly all around the wicket, picking up 112 runs in boundaries.
It was an innings that will only reinforce Gloucestershire coach Richard Dawson's conviction that Dent should be under consideration for the England Lions, who meet Pakistan A during the Cheltenham Festival in July

Gloucestershire beat Somerset by seven wickets in the T20 Blast at Taunton
    Gloucestershire 168 for 3 (Klinger 101, Overton 3-33) - Somerset 167 for 7 (Jayawardene 41, Taylor 3-16)

Michael Klinger led from the front as Gloucestershire completed a NatWest T20 Blast double over arch-rivals Somerset with a seven-wicket victory at Taunton.
The skipper scored a brilliant 101 as his side made light of a victory target of 168, winning with four balls to spare to go top of the South Group. Ian Cockbain contributed 41 to a second-wicket stand of 107.
The hosts posted a disappointing 167 for 7 on the high-scoring ground, Mahela Jayawardene making a scratchy 41 and Peter Trego 32. Matt Taylor returned a career-best 3 for 16 and Tom Smith 2 for 28.

Yorkshire seamer Josh Shaw has returned to County Championship Division Two side Gloucestershire on loan.
Former England Under-19 player Shaw has taken 19 wickets for Gloucestershire this season, having joined them on a season-long loan deal in February.
The 20-year-old was recalled by Yorkshire in June and made three appearances for the county

Gloucestershire now 2nd in the T20 Blast South Group Table - they have played 11 games so other teams have games in hand, but are looking good for qualification.
Somerset lie second from bottom (8 points behind Gloucestershire). IMO they need to win all of their 5 remaining fixtures to stand any chance of making the quarter finals.

Marcus Trescothick, belying all of his 40 years, has been on the field for every ball during the first three days of the Specsavers County Championship match against Notts.
Beginning the day with an unbeaten 117 to his name, the first time he had reached three figures in Nottingham, Trescothick went on and on and on before being last out for 218.

The 7th double of his career means he now has a record breaking 50 centuries for Somerset - and has passed 1,000 runs for the season.

    A great role model!!

Jamie Overton will be missing from the Somerset scene for the rest of the season after suffering a lower back injury.
The 22 year old was forced to leave the field midway through an over during the County Championship match against Middlesex last week after which he took no further part in the game
