Off Topic Werewolves

First, of course, I must assemble a group of players. I need at least 7 to play, so registration is open from this point til Sunday night. There are 4 different individuals in play;

1 x Seer
1 x Doctor
2 x Werewolves (if more than 15 players, there will be a third)
Villagers

Once roles have been randomly established, everyone will be told who or what they are. The werewolves will be informed who the other werewolf is. This is because the werewolves will be in collusion as to who they are going to kill. Everyone will be informed of their role by PM before 8pm on Monday.

The game proceeds in alternating night and day rounds, which will take the form of days. We begin, as all horror must, with nighttime....

The Night
Night will commence at 8pm on Monday 13th April. I require all information that evening, so a midnight cut-off is imposed.

Once "night" comes, I will pm asking "Werewolves, pick someone to kill." The werewolves then discuss between themselves and agree on one villager. When the werewolves have agreed on a victim, they will both send me a pm to confirm the name.

At the same time, I will also pm the Doctor and ask, "Doctor, who would you like to heal?" The Doctor selects someone they'd like to heal. The person chosen (which could be the Doctor himself) will survive if the werewolves had chosen to kill them. If someone was killed, and then saved by the Doctor, I will let the village know by posting, "xxxx has been saved", at the beginning of day time.

Finally, also during the night, I will pm the Seer asking "Seer, pick someone to ask about." The seer pm's a player name and I will simply reply either "yes" or "no". What they do with that information is entirely down to them.

All of this needs to be done ahead of the next day....no discussion is allowed on the thread at night (8pm - 10am)

Note - for the first day, I will pm early as there is no "day" between 10am and 8pm. From there, the cycle begins!

The Day
At 10am the cockerel will crow and the sun will rise above the stricken village. In the main thread, I will inform the group that someone has either been killed, or an attempt has been made and the player has been saved. From here, the village are free to "mingle", but there's a catch - all the living players gather in the village and must decide who to lynch. 4pm is the cut off and an ideal time for a good lynching. That player cannot be saved, is immediately dead and eliminated from all further conversation and the Daily Prophet will announce whether or not they were a werewolf, but the local rag isn't smart enough to know whether a doctor or seer is killed, that will remain secret throughout.

There are no restrictions on speech during the day hours. Any living player can say anything they want -- truth, misdirection, nonsense, or a barefaced lie. Dead players may not speak at all. Similarly, as soon as a majority vote indicates that a player has been lynched, they are dead. If they want to protest his innocence or reveal some information (like the seer's visions), they must to do it before the vote goes through.

Once a player is lynched, night falls and the cycle repeats.

Also have some bad news, I promised the Liverpool board that I would see if I could see if the Lads would not put in a full effort in the next game so that they could win a game for a change

You might want to stick a note on the Liverpool board as they have just finished a couple of Mafia games <cough> <JPF> <cough>, some of them may be up for it.

Plus if you time it right it may distract them from their next match!

 

Does anyone know a way of inviting John Carver to play? He'd be welcome on the board as he's a mag - **** manager but a mag all the same - and if this game proves as addictive as the mafia one it might mean he's too busy to pick a **** team next Monday. Then we'll be free to let Steve Stone pick the team inste.....ah **** it!
