Saints winning the FA Cup. Because Gabbiadini is not English. Since Milan last year, me and Italy are having a moment.

I will always be a Saint in spite of also being a Londoner, but my nationality is a looser fitting garment. For now, anyway. If any of our youngsters become England regulars, that may change.

Saints for me, because I would (hopefully) be there for the memories too.

England I'd be watching on TV

Yes they did (but not as good as the years I mentioned IMO) and that goes to prove my point that people get more patriotic when they've got something to be proud of.

A very shrewd observation. Sadly, nothing to be proud of in England at the moment. Besides Southampton and its football club. :)

Really.? Well, it's understandable. You appear to have pretty good taste in your countries. ;)

The 'other' old country is on my short list for somewhere to retire to.

I would take Saints winning anything over England winning a cup. That won't stop me cheering on England........and being disappointed, I never learn. :(

Of course, league title would be even better. That might take a few years. :)

Both in the same year would be nice... 2018, could it happen?

Apologies think I might still be drunk.

I suppose we tend to forget that there are people who support their international side without caring greatly about a league team. The same way that people watch the Olympics without being involved in sport for the rest of the time. I was 16 when we won the World Cup and certainly didn't support another team (luckily because it would probably have been Pompey<yikes>). So those people would say England to win the World Cup.

P.s. for those who weren't there in '66. It was blooming fantastic...people ran out onto the street to cheer with each other and you could hear car horns everywhere. And we felt like we were walking in the air for days afterwards.

I would always put Saints winning anything before the England football team. even a pre season friendly

I couldn't really give a monkey's about the national side to be honest. Yes, I want them to win but I actually quite enjoyed seeing the cream of the Premier League being beaten by Iceland.
    Saints over everything!
Of course, things might change a bit when JWP is England captain!

Most definitely Saints. The English team, are made up of a load of "Big time Charlie's" who are way overpaid, and couldn't give a crap about us fans. Of course, there are a few guys not like it!

What about if the England team was managed by NA with SRL as his number 2, captained by JWP and the team built around Sims and Redmond.
