tbf hopefully lots of other players join him. Get 50 players donating 1% and it becomes a shed load of money.

Hopefully Mata is playing the guilt card with all his colleagues <laugh>

The PFA should encourage every PL player to do the same, It'll cost them 0.5% in essence and they'd not even notice it.

What an absolute load of bollocks and Mata with the rest of them can **** right off! It makes my blood boil, these greedy little pricks are on obscene money, there is no way in this bloody universe these guys deserve the sort of money they earn for the job they do. This is not a gesture but a ****ing insult.

To be honest I'm not interested in what these cnuts give to charity, do it and keep it private, but 1% seriously! I don't give a damn what this equates too, I give 1% of my wages at least to charity, yeah completely different sum of money but 1% of my living standard just the same.

Over 56 years ago Jimmy Hill along with others succeeded in getting the £20 maximum capped wage lifted, if only he knew the path it would eventually leave.

The irony of all this is that every football fan that contributes in anyway to the Premier League through gate receipts, TV revenue or merchandise is to blame for this.

I'd prefer them not getting paid that sort of money at all, pure and simple, and about time something was done about it. As i said it's a bloody insult, trying to decorate their earnings with the whim of charity donations, and don't go worrying about agent and chairman, they are already well looked after in the pigs trough.

If they really want to give to charity do it without going public and give a damn sight more than 1%.

Me neither .Got caught up in Jose's ego . Definite " Untouchable " material Underrated by many , overrated by few . Apparently a super guy off the pitch too , doesn't surprise me for some reason . If it came down to a choice between Mata on my team or Mourinho running it , the door would slam on Jose's arse half way out .

Half a footballers wage is tax so they already feel they give to charity, I bet most of you lot are on benefit(50k tax helps what 100 families a week if they get £500 benefit) so why should they feel they need to pay more anyway?? Why should they have to pay more than anyone else for being successful?

The top rate of income tax in this country is 45%, so even if they were on paye they wouldn't be paying half their wages in tax, and I can guarantee they all have ****ebag accountants helping them to wriggle out of most of that anyway.

Why do you think most of the people on here are on benefits btw? We're not all from Manchester...

Exactly , we should thank them for their finacial imput to Goverment . A guy like Bill Gates ( bless him) does a lot of amazing things for the world , along with his wife . But he still goes home to a mansion . Should he downgrade his living conditions because he still has a ton of money left .

When you got all that Russian money at your disposal , chances are . Look at Mourinho this season , bitching about needing more money with a monumental financially team already assembled ... While Tottenham glide along ( finishing 17 points ahead of Man U ) spending nothing on transfers . If you keep spending tons of money your more apt to eventually win something , but not with any real quarentees

He only tried those tactics twice and it worked once. The other time you had an extra man due to a soft sending off.

You crack on though pal, clearly you know United way more than I do.
