The performances have been piss poor as of late, following on from the end of last season.

Hughes never learns, it is not this transfer window, but the past two. Glaring, obvious deficiences, so buy another midfielder.

In my opinion, we have deteriotated hugely since N'zonzi left, and that looked like a case of non existent man management.

Meanwhile we tippy tappy (in our own half) into the Championship...then goodbye Shaqirii, Bojan, Marko & Butland.

Not to worry, we will still have Bardsley, Whelan, Wolly, Crouch and SJW to rely on.

I'm not overly concerned after 3 games but if things don't start to improve soon we could find ourselves in a tough battle to get out of trouble, weren't Villa cast adrift early on and never recovered? Much could depend on what happens in the next 3 days but judging by what has happened so far in the window I am not holding my breath.

Not creating chances, not putting any we do create away, and not keeping clean sheets. We have a talented squad but seem low in confidence. Hughes has done well for two seasons but our recent record from the last 10 games or so is relegation form

Fully agree old boy, the defence leaves a lot to be desired, we are hardly prolific goal scores either.

 

But we CAN do it on a warm Tuesday night in Stevenage

 

That's hardly an endorsement for a premier league team.

SJW scored a couple last time out, so could he be our 20 goals a season saviour ? and Crouchie 3 last time out, we could be in Champions League next season.

 

Hopefully our 20 goals (for the opposition) player has left us and our defence will stop leaking quite as much.

 

Be helpful if we had a 20 goal per season player at the other end, and a reasonable keeper till Jack returns
