https://www.someecards.com/life/health/wasp-nests-vagina/ I could think of anywhere else to post this - a piece of sound advice for any ladies present. Although, to be honest, I wouldn't have thought the advice was needed...
Latest tale of woe from Yorkie Somehow I got THREE tick bites in France this trip.... the last of which necessitated a Doctor to remove pesky blighter. No sign of a tick in 15 years and then three...... feely pretty sorry for myself as now got to watch out for symptoms of Lyme's disease....
Mme had a week in the local hospital having been bitten by a little blighter. The problem here are that they live on deer, then transfer themselves to low branches or long grass and they are the ones most likely to pass on Lyme's disease when they move on to humans. We have them in the garden attached to the house, but they do not seem to be infected in the same way. I have probably disposed of one a month on average. My neighbours do their gardening in white overalls so that they are easy to spot. Time to go out and cut the grass before it gets hotter.
Fingers crossed.... looking out for the tell tale signs....... Frenchie thanks for the tip re overalls...... do you know if insect repellants work ?
We have lots of them here, but if you remove them on the same day.....gently, with tweasers as close to the head as possible, without twisting or anything then they are ok. One of the best deterrents (and disinfectants) is garlic or onion juice - if you want to make yourself unpopular.
We made a bit of a mess of removal of two of them... and all had been in overnight.... There is a lot of talk about citronella as a repellant.... I am not sure about the evicence though
