It's been reported almost everywhere this morning, I'd keep him until the end of the season and assess the situation from there.

Jose has made the point that it's up to Rooney and that he is not being pushed.

Can't see him going until summer.

He will then though, to somewhere anyway.

He wont be happy just sitting on the bench as he is now. He'll definitely be off in the summer.

I suspect he'll be off to the MLS rather than China.

We need to free up the wages that he is currently taking up. You can't pay someone that much money and have them on the bench.

I think JM deserves a great deal of credit for managing this whole situation. It takes a great deal of bottle, not to say respect from the other players, to manage a situation that involves taking the club captain - the guy around who both Moyes and LVG were building both their squads - and slowly but surely moving him to the bench (and then out of the squad altogether) without so much as a peep

I completely agree! I have to say that Mourinho has earned my respect with his man management this season. It is definitely the right time to bring him onboard. He has learned a great deal from Chelsea and Real Madrid on how to manage egos. Oh yeah, fkin LvG and Rooney! I can understand Moyes' challenge but LvG?

I doubt Schweinsteiger or Martial or perhaps even Shaw would agree. Jose has his favourites that's all.

Rooney has allegedly got a net worth of £90million. Why would he uproot his family to China for a 2 year £30million payout? Is he that money hungry?

I can't see it happening, but Stretford will be pushing for it though, the absolute maggot.

    Yes.

If he had anything about him he'd try for a move to Everton first and if not there then somewhere like Italy.

Don't worry folks - it's just another double-bluff, he's going to threaten to leave if we don't give him a pay rise :emoticon-0172-mooni

You've answered your own question. Just because he is worth 90 million, does not mean he wouldn't be interested in increasing his fortune by one third ...in 2 years. When did money make people less greedy...<whistle>

If he wants to go to a piss poor league to top up his bank account for a couple of years when he leaves then surely America is the better option.

Ok, he won't get anywhere near as much as in China but the pay off is he's not living in China.
