He's worried about the fans reactions to him when he plays for us on tuesday, if he hadn't of questioned the club's ambition the first time and asking for a transfer a few days after Fergie announced his retirement, none of this would've happened, i want us to sell him abroad preferably, i've had enough of his behaviour, he doesn't deserve to call himself a Manchester United player.

in 2010, he moaned about us not getting world class players

last year, we signed Robin Van Persie and he's still moaning, good god , give it a rest.

He's looking for excuses to leave by playing the victim. He either lacks belief in his ability, as he doesn't think he can command a regular first team place in his preferred position, or he lacks ambition as moving from United to Chelsea is a step down. Either way he should go as he's not a good enough player to be carried by the rest of the squad.

Also the last thing we want is an unhappy player ruining the dressing room spirit.

That would have been a peculiar thing to say as Chelsea were reigning champions at the time.

I'd say lack of ambition would be to stay somewhere where you've won everything possible and remain 2nd choice.

lack of ambition would be to accept that you're second choice (especially when you demanded the club sign better players) and move to a lesser club that guarantees you a first team place. you know that.

utter bollocks. Nothing wrong whatsoever in wanting a new challenge, we're a club who wins trophies every season.

Regardless of if you are, I would assume now that if he does say he wants to leave after a poor reception then his wish will be granted, but not to you lot.

Any player who won't fight for his place and prefers to move to a lesser club that will guarantee a first team place either lacks ambition ot belief in their talent. No arguing with that. You know he's making a step down which is why you're so defensive. You can wrap it up in the usual "project" bollocks if you want.

nope, I'll just wrap it in the 'bollocks' tag.

In 2010 he said he wanted to leave because he didn't think the club were signing players who could match his ambitions. In 2013 he wants to leave because the club signed a striker who is better than him. He lacks the ambition to try and be a first team regular and would rather go to a lesser club so he can get a guaranteed starting place. No argument there which is why the best you can come up with is "bollocks".

Or maybe he wants to play under a world class manager again? <whistle>

NOF <laugh> It is amusing when you recall that Rooney asked to leave in 2010 and said "I met with David Gill [United chief executive] last week and he did not give me any of the assurances I was seeking about the future squad...I then told him that I would not be signing a new contract." Yet when RVP signs he now has his nose put out of joint and apparently views Moyes comments as meaning he is only 2nd choice.

I thought the very best players welcomed world class competition from even within their own team? Rooney should be delighted RVP plays at Utd and get on with it.

Yeah, cos he was so happy under his last world class manager <laugh>

If anything that should put him off going to Chelsea - I reckon Mourinho would be just as ruthless with him as SAF if he was as unfit and out of form for Chelsea as he was for Utd. If he thinks being dropped for RVP is bad, wait till you see the strop he gets when he's dropped for Torres...

Interesting, although he spat his dummy before knowing Fergie was retiring so unfortunately irrelevant.
