An 80-20 verdict on Twitter in favour of wanting Watt gone this summer.

What's the consensus on here ?

If you want to keep or get rid of him, just a couple of words why.

No debate if possible, just individual views on the player

This is a hard one. When he first turned up I really enjoyed his style of play but the entire team played well during this period. He has flair, skill and attacks defenders which made him good to watch. But he doesn't score enough and seems to have a bad attitude and fitness is questionable.

But I would have a watt from the first period any day of the week therefore I say keep.

    Unfit,
    Doesn't score enough goals,
    Flaky,
    Doesn't behave like pro should.
    Occasional flashes of ability.
He is one of the reasons we are doing so badly in the third div.
Get rid in the close season along with Sarr, Vetokele, Ceballos, Page, Johnson, and all the loan players with the exception of Byrne. Rudd, Ulvestad, Da Silva, Botaka,

I think he meant we should keep Byrne and the rest can go back. Or he has spent the afternoon drinking with Elf and Reamer.

Voted to keep, but that is hugely dependent on seeing an improvement between now and may - I would certainly not want a striker who can score 1 goal in four months in league 1 on the wages I assume we are paying him.

Keep him a maverick a wonderful talent remember that keep ball from the Forest game .
Type of player I pay to watch entertaining .
Gets way too much criticism for me.
If we have a winning team next season he could be the shining light .
Feel the love for Tony Watt.

TWWW and Tex are two players suspected of being dug out by KR after Shrewsury, but in their defense they have 2 of the best 3 songs, the other being Solly. Singing about Jacko running up the wing is a bit passe, so maybe they should be kept for the songs?

Yes, Lennon & McCartney would have been proud of the lyrics

    "Ole ole, ole ole"

    One of the classics.

KR likes to pride himself as an honest man of his words,, if that's the case and he's going to back it up, surely he'll be going for players that have a better attitude than TW has shown to date.

Agree with Ken to a certain point, but so far all he's amounted to being is a journeyman, and he's only 23.
    Not good!

I can't understand why he's never fit. We keep waiting for him to become fit, but how long does it take? He has the basic talent, I think we have seen that, but his career seems to be slipping away before it's reallystarted. Whether he fulfils his potential is up to him, but if he doesn't achieve a good level of fitness soon, I don't see him having much of a career at Charlton or anywhere else.

You can't understand why Watt is never fit?

His lifestyle. He smokes and drinks allegedly. Also has diet issues.

Drinking like a fish didn't stop players like Besty and Bobby Moore from being great players. Michel Platini smoked like a chimney, although he had a great football brain to make up for any ill effects of puffing. Maybe he was just one of the lucky ones. Watt doesn't look fat though does he? I haven't actually seen him. Maybe he's a poor trainer, just can't be bothered. One thing about Best, he was a terrific trainer, often staying late. Watt's only 23, he should be able to have a good drink and still play 90 minutes if he trains properly. Reminds me a bit of Adjarevic, mysteriously running out of energy.
