    January 1970 - it was the start of a purple patch that saw us win 5 out of 6, the last being that victory against Liverpool. I had the misfortune to also have been at the match we lost - a 0-5 midweek thrashing at Carlisle, made all the more horrible by the coach heating system breaking down on the way home.

    We were unlucky with poor officials yesterday but also are not properly disciplined. WM has to introduce some system to check his players from getting themselves booked for dissent. The great GT would never have tolerated it.
