This thread is even more boring than Puel's press conferences. You are all like dogs squabbling over a bone.

So, if I've got it right, the whole of the ball has to be outside the line (including it's shadow) to be called out of play, and therefore a throw in.
The thrower, however, doesn't have to have any part of his foot outside of the line, so long as part of his foot/feet are touching the line, when releasing the ball.
So, in effect, a throw in can be made from a position that is wholly on the field of play, because the white line is part of the field of play, and still be a fair throw in.

It may be correct, but just doesn't seem right, to me.

So after the mother of all throw in discussions I can safely assume the ref was Dr Who fresh back after a visit to this forum and more confused than Trump reading Darwin. Or is that just confused.

That the Watford goal was good, even though most saints fans were questioning the parentage of the linesman

How does the shadow rule apply for evening games? Is it the moonshadow or floodlight shadow?
What happens during a solar eclipse?

Is it your intention to keep this discussion going until we have another game to occupy our attention?
I know the waiting is driving me crazy, its just the emptiness, when will it ever end?

Bunch of referees agreeing that the rule is that your foot can be on the field of play as long as any part of the foot touches the line. Example post: "1mm of each foot can be on line with rest of foot inside FOP and that's a legal throw in"

In summary, it's exactly as the rule states. Weird, that.

The rule is daft then, in my opinion. However I have to accept it!
