Watford F.C. v A.F.C. Bournemouth Watford, fresh from a laboured defeat at Burnley, need a win to get back on track. Commenting after the game Deeney said Watford were bullied. That is surprising given that the Hornets have a fair few cards already, in fact, they have the worst record in the league this season. Incidentally, Mike Dean will be reffing the game on Saturday. Mazzarri might wonder over who to partner Deeney, with Ighalo out of form and Success pushing him for a starting place. Other than that call, with Janmaat and Okaka the only long termers out, the Italian has a decent squad to choose from. The Cherries have mirror imaged the Horns results so far - two won, one drawn and three lost from their first six games. Notably though they have only managed four goals to Watford´s ten but have conceded two fewer, resulting in a lower league position. Eddie Howe is unchanged despite England rumours and with the next game after this two weeks away due to an international break, a win is vital as both sides will want to build on a good start to the season. ¡¡ COYH COYH COYH - ENJOY THE GAME - COYH COYH COYH !!
Another bogey side. Lets hope we re-find our form in defence and attack! Like to see Success come in and bring a bit of pace to the side.
Actually, a reshuffle in defense is on the cards - http://www.wdsport.co.uk/2016/09/craig-cathcart-out-of-bournemouth-clash/
Thanks for the thread Mex. There is no such thing really as a must win game however this is the sort of game that if we want to be serious about a strong long term future at this level we must go into the game in a positive fashion and expect to win - of course things can go wrong on the day but to be a top half premiership team you have to both win more of your home games and beat teams you hope and expect to finish above. I do not mean this to sound like the typically arrogant top 4 brigade but it is true.
Well that gives WM an interesting problem - a back three of Prodl, Kabasele and Mariappa, with no cover on the bench? Although if my memory serves me well, Behrami put in a couple of shifts as CB for Switzerland, which could mean a recall for Watson.
Like always, all I want is the boys to put in a performance that justifies them...and, no contentious decisions either way that directly affects the result. Come on you Horns!!!! 'Should' be a good game between to good footballing sides
Today's team... Gomes (GK); Zuniga, Kaboul, Prödl, Holebas; Amrabat, Behrami, Capoue; Pereyra; Deeney (c), Ighalo. subs Pantilimon (GK), Kabasele, Kenedy, Watson, Doucoure, Guedioura, Success. 4-4-2 and not a lot of pace at the back...
