And they will Palace and Hull cant get max as they play each other and then Hull has to play Spurs and Palace has both man clubs ,and dont start me on the swans winning there last 3 games .I think that if we dont get any points then they may replace WM which may not be such a bad thing
We always knew that we has a hard end of season ,so we had to get the 40 points early and 16th place is ok not great but ok for the 2ond year
It isn't actually as clear cut as that - neither Hull nor Palace need maximum points to overtake us. In the event that we lose all our remaining fixtures, Palace only have to beat Hull to overtake us, whilst Hull could possibly win both remaining fixtures and draw level with us on points. In that scenario, final positions would come down to goal difference. Granted, we are in the box seat - our GD being -18 and Hull's -31, but all it would take is for Chelsea, Man City and Leicester to inflict Liverpool-style defeats on us and that would be out the window. I'd say Hull are odds on to beat Sunderland - and them beating Spurs is unlikely but not impossible. And I won't start you on Swansea - other than to say that they probably have the easiest run-in of all... However improbable, it's still mathematically possible - the fat lady ain't sung yet.
All very true and the bookies was giving 500/1 which may be a bit top heavy Palace need 2 from Hull,Man C and Man u Hull needs 7 points from Palace Sunderland Spurs Swansea need 9 from Everton ,Sunderland and WBA all the about must happen as long as our GD is still better than Hull if not they only need 6 points
Not even safe after this weekend. The twitch still stays. WM can do one. I hope Deeney stays. IF we stay up on goal difference and WM stays it is a joke. IF we go down WM should be put in stocks.
You Sir, are cool as a cucumber about it. I am still worried about the drop. I hope this weekend something gives with the other fixtures to save a sinking Hornet´s ship.
A few stats on the negative side of the game: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/may/10/premier-league-teams-ineptitude-index-hull-city
Going by Jose's comments last night Palace will be playing Man U kids on the final day so if they need a result feel they might get it.
