Prediction League Watford Predictions League - Suggestions thread

In about 3 weeks time I will be opening the WPL. for 2016/17, unless anyone else wants to do it. Like last year I will not be using monday night games (unless Watford are involved). I am also doubtfull about friday night fixtures - because so many people tip on friday nights or saturday mornings. The 'lost' fixtures would continue to be replaced by Udinese (are Granada still part of the family ?), some fixtures from the Championship (so that Dave can continue to be disadvantaged!) or maybe even the SPL. I would be gratefull for feedback on this one - should I ignore fridays ? Also, are any changes necessary for the scoring system ? It has become a bit inflationary in the last couple of years, in terms of points scored - is this ok. ? Any ideas of changes to the FA. Cup scoring system can also be put here. All ideas are welcome, otherwise they will both continue using the same format as last year.

 

I would ignore Fridays as they do catch us out. Points system is OK. Happy for Norwich fixtures and Udinese.... Don't put Leeds as I will always put them to lose Scoring system works well

FA Cup seems more diff to score... as I guess the actual score makes it much more work to do?

I agree with yorkie's sentiments. Maybe you could occasionally use the Mainz fixture for a fill-in, as they are the only one of Watford's 5 twin towns that has a top flight team.

 

What Yorkie and Ho2B said! Thanks for doing it again, it's become a great way to actually take notice outside of the Watford bubble.

 

If we stop using the Friday game (unless its Watford) i would like it to be Norwich each week .The points system is great (i was 2ond LOL) Mark is so good he should not start until week 3 LOL

 

i'm just grateful you do it! I never last a season though lol

 

As said by others really appreciate you doing this. L'll go with whatever suggestions you deem of value. Hopefully l willpick up some more top scores this season.
