I'd suggest they pop the rules up in a sticky then. How many of our fans that live outside of the UK get full match highlights? You don't really need to see the full game to have an opinion. Or is an opinion based on televised viewing not allowed either? Regarding full game, do we also stop those voting who don't technically see the full game live as they are still queuing outside due to the failings of our wonderful automatic turnstile system? Some fans are 10-15 minutes late into the ground. Not being funny, but I don't see how that is any different. Then you have people pissing off for a pint and a pie 5 minutes before the first half has finished then leaving 5 minutes before full time to avoid traffic. If this was all applied to one fan they could have missed up to 25 minutes!!
We've always had the rule that only those who've watched the game should vote on the Man Of The Match. If you go for a piss, or pop off to buy a pie, or get in a minute late, it obviously doesn't matter, but nobody should be voting based on just Burnsy and Swanny's ramblings, that's why ellewoods set the rule in the first place and it's a perfectly sensible rule. I listened to the first half of the Stoke game and watched the second half and didn't vote as a consequence, I can't understand why anyone would see it as a big deal.
Ranochia Clucas Jak Or any other three Including Niase tried to slip a gorgeous ball through just before the leg waving incident and for his expression after.. Mom for watfurd.. Madley
I didn't participate in the early days so I wasn't aware of any rule. Not that watching highlights on TV (full or partial) or the match live should make any difference to whether people can vote or not. Seems very petty.
Incidentally, if people only pick one or two players instead of three, I award 1 or 2/1 marks only. Because the guidance is really simple!
I don't particularly disagree with most of what you write, just pointing out it has been posted on here, quite a few times, that it is the full game.
Fair enough, I can't say I've ever seen it. So perhaps it needs to be chucked on as a sticky. Personally for me it is a ridiculous ruling.
I don't understand people wanting to vote without watching the game. If you watched highlights of a Chelsea game you would barely notice Kante, yet he's been the best player in the Premier League.
Or watching highlights which cover mainly goals and controversial moments. The hard work done by a player like him or Clucas is rarely clear.
Oh ****! I've voted for motm for most of our away games always based on radio commentary and national press etc. I honestly didn't know this was not allowed. Am I a bad person? Sincere apologies.
