(sounds like a bloody detective novel ) I must admit, it had me creased. Warnock has a great sense of humor. Gerrard the miserable pr*ck with his face down to the floor looking like he was going to cry. Brilliant Colin, just brilliant http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/lat...Plymouth-Steven-Gerrard-Neil-Warnock-BT-Sport
Gerrard = Sense of humour transplant No loaners or cheap deals for us from Liverpool then. On another Liverpool related topic, a top class response from their fans last night relating to the lad from Plymouth who died while his Dad was at the first game at Anfield. Out of their own pockets the fans raised money to have a banner produced in honour of the lad and his family. This was paraded around the Plymouth ground before last night's replay. Not only did they cover the cost of the banner but much more with the surplus being donated to the Royal Surrey County Hospital where the lad passed away. Heard the story on 5 Live this morning where the father and the guy behind this from Liverpool were interviewed - very moving. The banner has now been given to the family. Liverpool FC paid for the father and family to attend last night's game. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/liverpool-fans-display-banner-tribute-12475199 to Liverpool and their fans. Football does have a really positive and generous side.
Brilliant heartwarming story there mate! Fair play to them! Ever since our league cup final against them I've had a lot of time for the (genuine) Liverpool fans. Excellent support and so complimentary.
Football needs people like Warnock not overpaid prima donna's like that Gerrard. The day NW finally gives it up will herald an end of an era. Total legend. Love him or hate him nobody can match his humour, honesty, compassion, knowledge and wit. His comment the other day when he said that he hopes Bristol city fans will give him a minutes booing rather than a minutes applause once he pegs out was brilliant.
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/14-stunning-windows-give-best-12477107 I love how they are trying to prove they have windows .
Warnock has said he'll lone plymouth a striker. Who will that be? Also see another youngster is on his way out. Undisclosed fee, so we've no idea how much we paid them to take him.
brilliant match that and helped by two sets of genuinely passionate football supporters, can't fault the Liverpool fans
They heaped nothing but praise on the city when we were in among the mix of them at the end of the game. No trouble, no conceited or cockiness at all, even after winning the cup. I hated Liverpool prior to that game, but now I actually have a lot of time for them (and the genuine fans, not the people born and bred in Cardiff who own a Pool shirt and sit and watch games on the telle whenever they can, hoping City pull Liverpool in the cup so they can finally watch Liverpool after years of being a die hard fan!).
Their fans are certainly amongst the best in the world. The reception pretty much every ex player gets there demonstrates it. I remember them applauding Barca (the Rivaldo vintage) off the pitch after getting totally outplayed at Anfield. It was a master class from Barca but few opposition fans would have respected their brilliance in that way. The story Blue mentions is something that would have happened at few other clubs and the fans deserve genuine respect for making that effort. Not sure Nin's overpaid prima donna comment regarding Gerrard is fair. Genuine 1 club man who surely could have earned a lot more if he'd taken the chance to go to Chelsea or Utd. He earned a fortune, but he was one of the outstanding players of his generation.
