I doubt Labour will go in a coalition with the SNP, even if they did, as a social democrat, I don't think it would be the worst thing in the world, particularly as the whole 'SNP breaking up the union' is being overplayed. I recommend taking the time to look at their Manifesto and see the reaction from the political press. She's been getting a positive reception even from a couple of Torygraph ... I mean Telegraph reporters.

There isn't a lot this Tory government can harp on about. Cameron is almost wise for avoiding as many public debates as he can. A vote for the Conservatives is a vote for a Tory economy that benefits the few and not the many, a Conservative government that has offset money from the poor to give tax cuts and benefits to the rich, a Tory economy where NHS waiting lists spiral upwards and standard of living continues to plummet for millions of workers. A Tory government that will cut £12bn from the welfare budget, but offers no explanation on how or where they're going to make these savings from, and will pump £18bn into the NHS, but again fails to explain where that money is coming from. If the last five years are anything to go by, that money will be coming from private insurance companies.

I may be missing something but everyone pays 20% tax on earnings over £10000 roughly..........then earnings over £42385 tax goes up to is it 40%....which I presume is the 'rich' bracket I've never really understood why the % should go up really..

Well I'm not scared of the SNP. To be honest their views represent my feelings better than Labour. My only query is : Do you have to be named after a fish to lead the party?

" .zero hour contracts paying slave wages " My zero hour contract is on more than the permanent members of staff. I think there is quite a misconception that the media portray regarding zero hours contracts actually.............

The zero hour contract debate is laughable at best. Makes up a very low %%% and many people on these contracts ( 50% apparently ) are happy on them! I'm on a zero hour contract by choice.....!

Horrible feeling SNP / Labour momentum is growing actually.

If that's the case, another five years of overspending everything possible will definitely happen. Crying shame.

    There is.

    http://www.englishdemocrats.org.uk

I'd guess they've never really gained traction because there isn't an English equivalent to the Scottish Parliament/Welsh Assembly. That and UKIP generally takes the Mantle of the English National Party.

Regarding the potential SNP influence on the next government. It would be no different to the influence any minor party with a king-making number of seats could wield. The only reason people have an issue with it is because they cant win seats south of the border.

problem is Mike, any other party would be doing something they think is right for the majority of the UK, The SNP will only be doing things to benefit a small minority of people (no matter want they say), and then to top it off will probably then complain and want to up and leave again.

you could tell by the smirk on her face yesterday when announcing their manifesto and the question of independence came up what their plan is.

Vote Labour and expect the whole of the UK to be held to ransom by a tin-pot nation of just 5M people.

Never mind Scottish independance, let's have a vote on ENGLISH independance !
