Take out Bale and man for man Georgia are by far the better side. Yet more evidence that rankings mean nothing.

 

Wales have been poor and it shows the importance of either Ramsey or Joey. At times we have looked shapeless, will be tough to qualify from here unless we knick this.

 

We def miss Joe and Ramsey

 

Georgia by far the better team, we will be lucky to get the draw.

 

2 points dropped?

 

It's all very well saying that they've been better than us, but we are without 2 of our standout players.
The big names in our team are Bale, Ramsey, Joe and Ash. Half of them are missing - we know we don't have strength in depth - nobody should be surprised by that.
The luck we need is keeping our players fit.
Georgia are obviously a decent team and I'm certain they'll take points of the other teams.
We also know that we can beat all of the teams in the group.
The expectation is so high that some expect us to win every game almost. This is a minor bump.
there will be lots of draws and teams taking points of each other in this group.

Disappointed but not defeated by that match. We are only 3 games in. Long long way to go, many twists and turns to come.

 

I agree its only a minor setback and Georgia will take points off others. But the technical ability of these so-called lesser teams is way ahead of our players imo. Passing of the ball, trapping it, shooting from distance, you name it.

 

As I said on the Austria thread, without Joe and Ramsay I'd take a point.

To qualify we need Rambo, Joe and Bale playing every game, otherwise it's a struggle.

Wales with their full squad are virtually unbeatable but the minute we lose 1 or 2 key players and in the case of one player with Bale then we are ordinary and very beatable. We are just not blessed with adequate replacements that can fill the boots of our key players.......Still we never lost and it's another point towards qualification and there is a long way to go yet......My dread is if we lose Bale for a couple of matches as we will soon have our work cut out.....

 

Serbia have beaten Austria 3-2.

 

ROI go top but they struggled to win.....We can beat them with a full squad no problem.....
