Did wonder what was going on in your mind. Got to agree on origi although would like to see more of him playing in a front two.
Mané has been disappointing. Swanning off to Africa, then getting himself injured - don't know what he was thinking about.
I'll spell it out for you We currently have 13 points more than last season. We are currently 17 points adrift of Cheslea. If we improve another 13 points next season....we'd be on 86 points. Much closer to Chelsea's 90 points. If we win our last game and end the season on 76 points it'll be a 16 point improvement on last year. If we improved 16 points again next year then we'd end up on 92 points. Even closer to Cheslea's probable 93 points. In other words, we need to improve as much as we did this year (in terms of points) to challenge properly.
We need two Sadio Manés. We did well in the first half when he was mostly fit. If we had two Mené instead of just one Mané we could have been fighting for the title until the end.
well... yes. though if we'd two coutinhos or two lallana's or two matips maybe we could say the same. Right now as we look forward to a new season we have to wonder what will develop Coutinho as no 10 or no 8? Formation 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, 4-1-2-1-2 or what? who knows I think if pushed i would say klopp will have lallana, coutnho, mane and matip in mind as his main men, probably firmino too. so the question is where the next priority. Mingolet is mingolet, will be buy a winger and a striker? a midifleder, a CB, a LB? its hard to know what is next I would say that 4231 right now makes most sense par se.... but its hard to figure who will be bought to make it work and how players would combine. like not everyone can stand centrally so where does firmino, lallana and coutinho all play in a 4231?
He was questioning the bit about Mane that we've already been over and highlighted is a mistake and should say Origi. Bless RHC he's not as quick as rest of us with the reading though.
Wanna give praise to Origi, he did all the running and hard work so Sturridge doesn't have too. Would Firmino do the same in that same role? I don't think so. Origi ran everywhere for Sturridge and allowed him to focus his energy on the serious chances. 4-3-3 no longer suits Sturridge now. When we had Suarez is was very similar. If we play with Sturridge then it has to be two up top.
Imo we shouldnt focus on points as every year is different. Last year arsenal were on less points and got 2nd. This year 7th/8th down have been no challange to anyone but us and we topped the top 6 mini league compensating somewhat. The reality is if we are only mid table in top 6 that would be ok but if we dont improve on this lower half stuff we will fail.
