Long sentence but beautifully punctuated donga.....I would never take the p*** honest I wouldn't... Even I don't like medeocrity KENNY but when push comes to shove I still take it for the sake of the points at this end of the season. My club threw away automatic promotion twice in the last 3 seasons. We didn't even make the play off final in the first and didn't turn up for the play off final in the second. Believe me disappointment isn't just a preserve of the top division. The fact is you may have been crap in January but you are still in there with a real shout and it isn't exactly a lost cause is it. I read the same sort of comments on this board in January when you were losing as I'm reading now that you are winning a game. No matter how crap it gets you didn't lose and that has to be the most important thing now. SaintKlopp, with due respect it's goals for that win games not how they were created. You get nothing in this game for playing well apart from the tears of the supporters who think you should have the points. Cheer up you'll be fine.
Mate just love a good moan that's all. You're right in 6 weeks time we'd all look at the table and not care about the performances if we are in 3rd place. But it's been said many times why watch football if all you care about is the result? Just go to BBC website at the end of the week and check the scores? I think it's more frustration because we know we can be electric and beat anyone playing brilliant football at times, so when we play dog against teams that are lower in table and we have higher quality against it's frustrating. But like I say in 6 weeks if we're top 4 you won't hear many complaining at all.
Finally watched the game back - how lucky were we! Migs saved us today with 2 world class saves. My MOTM. The teamsheet looked horrendous and it probably gave stoke a lot of confidence. Understandable given Coutinho illness and Firmino fatigue but the personnel used was completely wrong. Klopp truly ****ed up. But to his credit, he fixed it at HT. I thought TAA held his own, Woodburn had some good moments but it's still too soon to say whether he will make it or not. The defence - unbelievably poor. Lovren and Klavan just need to leave IMO. They make countless errors between them. Gini made a massive error but was overall good and is having a productive season, bagged another assist. And Can was good again today. Milner can't play CM. Firmino and Coutinho did the biz when they came on and Sturridge played a nice cameo. Again, he could play a big part until the end of the season with all of the injuries. Was disappointed with Origi - started to show good form but was pretty poor. In all all, dreadful first half but showed good character in the second. Massive 3 points and a big confidence boost. First away win of 2017 and we finally won without Mane. 9 points ahead of Arsenal and united - rather points on the board than games in hand
Going back to Sturridge - picks up the ball from midfield, plays a nice ball to Firmino and then makes the run into the box, occupies a couple of defenders and then Coutinho has space. These are the little things that he does.
Deffo points in bag are better than having games. Especially if you have max points. In the end we need max points from remaining games and cement 3rd place.
3 wins and 3 draws should be enough. Still worried about Arsenal because they're capable of going on a really good run.
Unfortunately not. Physically, we cannot rely on him and he's getting a big wage to sit on the bench or in the physio room. Love him, one of the most talented players this club has had, brilliant goal scoring record, hope he gets the send off he deserves.
So does anyone prefer we stick with the 343 formation?? 2nd half makes me think we might just stick with it so long as we have the right personel. I actually think Moreno would do a brilliant job as wing back without having to worry about too much defending. It would also allow the Brazilian to do their damage centrally. Shout out to Can but he is slowly but surely improving. Love his over the top balls as he always seems to find his man and is a different option to wing play
