I'll probably follow this later today, but it all seems pointless. After seeing the agents fees, it is clearer every day the club is rudderless. I spent the week hoping for a sale or a savking (RD or KR) but it seems we will stagger into hoday with the absentee idiot and the Gobinson from hell in charge.
Prediction. 1-2. We nick a surprise lead but they overwhelm us.

The only way we'll get any result is if Rudd plays a blinder.

One striker on the pitch, one so-called striker on the bench. Hoping for a 0-0 I suppose.

The gap between our midfield and loan striker today is wider than the Grand Canyon. As Slade found out at least 6 months ago, Crofts & Ulvestad as a midfield pairing doesn't work. Like playing with 2 mannequins. Josh looks completely isolated up front & is frustrated as a result.

How are we playing? Have a large away treble with derby, villa and Southend and WH pulled my cash out.

Port Vale concede to Chesterfield, making it a 3-point gap.

2-1. If we can hold on we should be safe.

Done it!! A 2-1 win. I'd forgotten the sensation.

This is the new reality - scrape a home win to avoid being sucked into the pit of tier 4.

The highlights CD for this season will be interesting.

A deserved win from a scrappy game. Deserved because we had a stone wall penalty denied to us when the score was 1-1. Southend had chances in the second half & Rudd made a couple of good saves. The fact that the Shrimpers - cheered on by 3,000 fans - are in the play offs tells you everything about the standard of this league.

Before I crack open the Bollinger to celebrate safety, worth pointing out that Meire was asked about our attendances before today's game. "It's the managements fault" she replied, before going on to say she is staying. The pitiful sight of barely 500 in the East Stand today and huge gaps in the Upper North just prove that today is ultimately a Pyrrhic victory.

    Just sell the club

I went for the first time in a while and we worked hard for the win. It wasn't pretty but we defended stubbornly and put in a shift. The Southend free header was because Pearce clattered into one of their players and ended up on the deck. Baeur won a lot of headers. Da Silva looks a decent player but needs some growth hormones. Solly also had a good game. Magennis was totally isolated on his own upfront. Holmes just runs and runs and was knackered by the time he came off.
How we didn't get a penalty I don't know. Nearly safe, what has it come to that we are celebrating a win against Southend to help us from getting relegated to div 2.
