I'm back again with another video match report from after today's game.

What do I think of the game .
Pretty well what you said really .
Not getting to carried away with the results, but it's hard not to think the squad
is beginning to gel under Clement .
No matter who comes in or leaves , Clement will be the most important person from the team .
I might add , it seems that the person who will be least effected by the loss of Siggy , will be Clement . I believe he would rather have the money to spend on players than to actually have Siggy remain with the team . I think a bridge has been burnt between Clement and Siggy .

 

Thanks seabreeze! I agree that it looks like the team have gelled based on yesterday's performance (without Sigurdsson & Llorente which is relieving). I like that Clement looks to be sticking to a diamond in midfield with two up front as the wide areas aren't really our strength anymore - shame about the sale of Barrow too

What did you think of Abraham's performance? Would you start him over Llorente?

 

Looks like we'll have no choice ( unless Bony suddenly appears) because Llorente looks like he won't be ready to go .When Llorente is ready to go we can base whether He starts ahead of Abraham off of Abraham's performance to date .Between Llorente 's aging factor and the fact he likes to score late , Llorente can come on fresh later if Abraham tires or is having a bad outing. If Bony arrives , Clement will have a beautiful problem to sort out . I really think Bony is ready to explode if someone takes him , a lot to prove after a few seasons of getting crapped on by City , and especially Stoke .A lot of variables can happen by August 30 , Llorente might be dressed in Blue

 

Well done! Not easy to talk for 10 minutes without a script. (I'm assuming you didn't have some sort of autocue rolling!).

We looked sharp all round the pitch from what I saw of the last 30 mins on S4C. Abraham certainly looks athletic and could be a huge asset, if only as you say, for one season. Llorente's strength is in the air whereas Abraham's may well be on the ground.

Under normal circumstances I would write an away game against Southampton off as a loss, but they seem to be having problems with Van Dijk's future uncertain and losing their last friendly 0-4 at home to ???? (edit: Augsburg). Perhaps we can nick something next week.

Completely agree. Start Abraham (and Ayew?!) and bring on Llorente should Abraham tire/under-perform. I'd personally love to see Bony back in a Swans top, no grudge held whatsoever against him for leaving to sign for the Premier League champions at the time.

 

It was definitely one of the more dominant Swans performances I'd seen for a while. The lads looked sharp, energetic and above all cohesive - something lacking under Bradley. I'd honestly be quite disappointed if we didn't take at least a point from St. Mary's next weekend based on yesterday's win and, as you mentioned, the uncertainty around Van Dijk's future.

The chin touch is definitely a nervous tick haha! Halfway through the video the guy next to me got in his car and must have been thinking "who's this muppet next to me filming himself?!"

Considering he is believed to be on £120,000.00 per week, he should at least be providing the toilet paper.

Bony doesn't strike me as being concerned about playing or not. He is a money man.

 

I can't speak for the character of the man, but if the Premier League champions came knocking on my door and offered the prospect of winning the League and playing in the Champions League against the best players in the world, I wouldn't think twice.

Can I butt in to the Bony debate too Libby

Buying Bony is a 'win win win' situation for us imo.

With Bony here, we'd have three strikers with a backstories impelling them to win. Llorente will be looking for a Swan song to end his illustrious career, Abraham will be looking to impose himself and impress in the prem and Bony, imo, will be desperate to resurrect his stalled career.

The competition would be fierce with each having their own selfish reason to succeed, their own mission if you like, each looking to outdo the other as they strive to impose themselves. Like I said, its win, win, win, for us if we buy, buy, buy Bony.

 

Totally agree that the competition would be beneficial. To be honest, I think the wage cut he'd have to take will be the deciding factor.

 

My crapped on comment was only pertaining to minutes being played , I thought that was a given becauce when it comes to money ... he's being showered in money
