Didn't really expect anything else tbh ... FA not going to admit that one of their refs is grossly incompetent ... time for video replay reffing methinks... that would likely have gone up stairs and a sensible decision would have been the 4th official giving a yellow. Hate the dual standards more - Sissoko has got away with a horrendous injury threatening tackle in the game against Burnley and has then set up Spurs winner .. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38385231
It was a red card. Diving in with 2 feet is a sending off The only way you can feel aggrieved is that worse tackles have been punished with only yellows. But Vardy deserved his red card.
aye, certainly not surprised, they're not going to go against their refs unless its blatantly the wrong decision.
The sickening thing is, if it was a London club, especially Spurs who have the refs wrapped round their little finger, or a Manchester club it would have been rescinded if the ref had sent him off in the first place. It's one rule one, one for another. Disgraceful corrupt organisation
Seeing the two photos above makes a mockery of the FAs decision. It's obviously a case of being seen to back the ref after the flack he got from all quarters. Make my p!ss boil.
To get a red card overturned, it has to be a completely wrong decision, this one wasn't. It was a soft red, but it was a reckless challenge and it was never going to get overturned. The fact that it was Leicester was completely irrelevant, as was the fact that Barkley got away with a worse one.
I think you are right ... although the whole appeals system should perhaps be changed. Irrespective, Pawson should be removed from EPL engagements until he can show that he has eradicated such inconsistencies from his performances.
