totally agree with this! if you could just pop to Tecsos and pick up the best player in every position we'd be laughing! trouble is Tesco doesn't always have the best players and there is more than one customer!

 

Villa used to sell their players, and then replace then. Then it turned into them selling their players, and, er, not replacing them...

Jack Stephens turned 23 last week and is about the age that the majority of Centre backs start to master their trade.

He has been at the club for 6 years, has represented England at all youth levels. Has over 50 senior appearances at league one level.
This is a huge opportunity for him to step up and I hope he is chomping at the bit to prove himself.
Yes the board have messed up on the numbers game, but there is just as much chance of Yoshida and Stephens remaining fit as there is of them getting injured.

Oh and Van Dijk has played two of our five league cup shut out games.

He looks a real prospect, but many clubs will be watching if Chelsea decide to let him go. We'd be out bid in a flash.

 

Although if Chelsea were Virgil's potential suitors then we would be in a position to demand him as part of the deal.
