It was a good south-coast encounter on Sunday. We set a boring Prem weekend alight with our first game of the season, showing everyone how you score goals and keep a tight defence. This time we bring the south-coast to us. I'm hoping with each game the team gels that little bit more and Mourinho gets to undo the ****e from the previous 2 seasons and puts his own mark on the players and the team. I still expect Southampton to be a difficult game. Despite the players being sold, I reckon they will continue to play as a tight unit and be good going forward and posing us problems. Fonte as well will also have a point to prove or at least demonstrate why he's worth coming to United. Look forward to at least one of Pogba and Mikhi starting this one. Ibrah was impressive on Sunday, he oozes class and confidence and I'm beginning to believe he will have a big influence on players like Rashford, Lingard and Martial. Prediction... first home game, new manager, new momentum, fans right behind the team, I'm going for 3-1 again.
Friday night game. Table toppers UTD take on a team who are not top. Will Pog play, will Roo play, will Giggs play who knows Super entertain game 2-0 win Bland and boring comments not required
Ofcourse not, that's why you're camped on here more than the United fans What's with the Liverpool matchday threads being 20 pages of ****e before the game? (and then 90 mins of ****e during it)
Not sure. There's little to talk about tbf. Pretty much all transfers done, fans are content to give the new guy in charge their backing, and perhaps people are away on holiday atm. Maybe we need UIR talking ****e to add a bit of controversy? Mind you, we still have Kustard to do that. A few of the regulars are away though. I'm sure on Friday night, the thread will be a hive of activity (and we'll make it to the 2nd page) You lot post every bloody throw-in and corner ffs!
United are not that good. Worst outcome would be a very lucky goal via a penalty or free kick. United may win 1-0 but by no more than that!!
Can't see anything other than a defeat here. Expect us to set up with a diamond with Redmond & Long up top. Just think you'll have too much for us. Plus, we're due a defeat up there anyway. 3-0 United.
Saints still have the two players who scored the winners in our last two home games against them. But on the plus side, United have never lost in the prem when they've played on a Friday #nojinx
Do you honestly think United are going to beat Saints 3-0? If so let's get ready for relegation because that is the kind of margin United will beat relegation teams by. Saints are not relegation material so should provide United with a game based on intellect as much as skill.
