A heads up re the legend that is John Giles. Documentary Monday night on his career, lots of classic Leeds footage on Irish channel RTE1 sky channel 101 over here. Not sure can you lot get it but we’ll worth checking out Update here is the program
Love to see those flicks & tricks he did with Billy that made players look stupid and chasing phantoms. Southampton anyone? Serios question folks, does anyone know how many ex Man Utd players we signed at Leeds, because I believe we signed more of theirs than they of ours.
Marvellous documentary. Over the years, I’ve sometimes questioned my sanity supporting Leeds. This program contained a lot of fond memories and reminders of why Leeds means what it does to so many
Didn't see the documentary Eire, but I'll make sure I catch up with it. The what it means to be Leeds thing is well discussed, but when someone asks me why it matters to me now, at my age, far from Yorkshire, there's no short explanation - it's the disappointment, pain, sense of injustice, jealousy, indignation, frustration, hope, elation, unbridled joy of far too many years - how do you explain that to a bystander? MOT.
Sounds interesting, I taped it Eire and will watch it while under the influence. That's the only way I know
