there is now just 1 game in 2016 and the first game of 2017 before the cup unbelievably the five teams below us mirror our fixtures away and home ! we are away to Ipswich THEY ARE... NEWC V Florest .......v Barnsley BHA v Cardiff ........... v Villa Wolves v QPR ........... V Ipswich Hudds V BBurn ........v Newc Rotherham v Burton ...v PNE then we are home to Reading THEY ARE ALL AWAY ... ON PAPER Burton best chance of points along with QPR
we lost 2-1 NEWC V Florest 3-1 BHA v Cardiff postponed Wolves v QPR ........... BAD RESULT 1 -2 Hudds V BBurn ... could have been worse 1 -1 Rotherham v Burton ... really bad result 1-2 Besides Ipswich getting daylight..+4 points QPR NOW 1 POINT NOT 4 BURTON 2 pts not 5 and Blackburn 5 pts not 6 behind WE need 8 points to get into top 12 that's a minimum likely more than 19 statistically, based on the 14 teams above us / in the way, drawing against each other ( eg's Norwich v Derby Fulham v Barnsley etc etc etc 14 teams 90 + fixtures each team racking up 13draws each) and us beating them, =42 points, its now almost impossible to get into 3rd to 6th position.... so we need to resign ourselves that the Junior experiment is a massive failure, and is now a mission to save a TITANIC disaster in avoiding the relegation zone. BARNSLEY HAVE PROVED that Lee was no more than a front man,( they are currently 9th, 8 points or 3 losses against us winning 3 in front of us ,) but merely a cog in a system where 1 cog does not a clock make... unlike Mourinho, WHO STEPS INTO ALMOST READY MADE teams and gains initial success before the gilt wears off , Junior has taken on a team that toward the end of last season, from JP and WE turning our fortunes, were doing a good job at the end . then it was a rebuild which has failed miserably... that since the loss at Cardiff has only seen 2 home wins against a team that was wallowing in the bottom 3 and a team whose away form was 5 losses and 2 draws 2 wins, ... 1 draw against the team he left, and 10 losses admittedly mostly higher than us in the table on the day.... add in DH? AND RESULTS DO SEEM to reflect his appointment... not good????
I remember the not so distant days when Millen was our defensive co-ordinator, or something like that, and we had an atrocious goal differential and yet when the manager was fired he took over as interim manager. In my mind that wasn't very forward thinking and now look who's in charge, and I rest my case.
30 mins CITY ....3 PTS 15TH + Florest .......1pt ....................19TH - Cardiff .....3 pts...................20TH + QPR .......... 1 pt ....................18TH + BBurn..... 1 pt ........................22ND Burton .....1 PT ......................21ST -
