Different team totally. Well done to Jose for reading the newspapers and taking notice for once. Herrera, Mata with Pogba - that's the recipe for Utd's success this season.
I don't think I actually mentioned any names in that post. But hey, here you go. Mata scored from the edge of the box and we scored three goals from corner which Rooney would have completely wasted. Herrera injects speed and frees up Pogba as well to be more dynamic. Listen Chief, let's just cut out this nonsense. Forget today, this team will do far better without Rooney in. END OF STORY!!!!
Rooney now confirmed as a bit part player. This is how United should play at OT. Just have to keep the same going for the 2nd half.
Rooney will spend the remainder of his United career from the bench now. This had to be done and him playing 90 mins in midweek was the way of ushering it in. I hope he accepts it and doesn't spit his dummy and become a problem.
The should have kept up the pace second half, can only benefit winning by a few more. Easy to ease off of course but the second half has been a bit of a let down. We could have hammered them.
I agree. I think I would have liked to see more goals from open play. We didn't really force too many saves out of their keeper either and we gave the ball away too easily. There's still work to be done but much needed win today.
Good first half but the second was pedestrian. Every body slowed down and we conceded. Still a lot of work to do. Leicester is a bottom half team and we SHOULD be beating a team like them. No big shakes.
True, but also a must win EL game coming up on Thursday, so possibly a bit of energy conservation going on there. Either way, we looked a world better without Fellaini, Rooney and (gasp) Martial in the starting line up. Definitely some second season issues for Martial, think he will need to be eased back in gradually.
