Well tomorrow (Friday) sees our under 23s who are so far undefeated in this competition (scoring 15 goals and conceding only 3 {all against Villa under 23s!!} take on Sunderland under 23s for a place in the final V Porto who defeated Swansea earlier in the week, with the final most likely being played either at CR, or the SOL. I have only missed the opening game V Valencia and have seen some exciting displays by the boys in yellow and green – something that has been sadly amiss for most of our first team fixtures.
If you live locally and can get to the game, please come and support our team (tickets are free and will be available until just prior to kick off at 7pm) and looking at how many seats have already been snapped up, I’d be surprised if the crowd isn’t over 3,000.
I’ll try and post some updates during the game, but you should be able to follow it on the NCFC twitter account.

I’ll be there in seat L104 if anyone wants to come and say “Hello” <ok>

Edit - Dijks will be in the team for tonight's game, as his suspension doesn't cover development games. 'Sicknote' Matt Jarvis will also be in the team and I'm hoping that JM will also play. I'm sure Glenn Middleton will also play a part and it will be interesting to see if he is in the starting 11 or comes on as a sub.
If you're not on twitter, you can follow the game here - http://www.pinkun.com/home

Great to have a Match Thread for this, JMF. <ok> I'd be there if I could, but will be following it via the Pink'un coverage and any updates you or others can give on here. Well done mate and enjoy your pre-match warm-up! <cheers>

I see Sunderland had quite a tough qualifying group, so if anything. are slight favourites for tonight's game - "Sunderland beat Benfica and PSV Eindhoven before being held to a draw at Derby in the group stages, then beating Athletic Bilbao 2-0 at the Stadium of Light in the quarter-finals."

You and the others are going to have to make our home advantage count, JMF! ;)

Good to see we'll have an experienced left back, the ban doesn't count for development games!

Well done gandy. I'm just about to head off so that I can get my fish and chips without having to queue and then off for a couple of pints prior to kick off.
