Not recently has ´two wins in a row´ Been part of post match chatter amongst fans, And it does leave a warm-ish Sunday glow While washing up the after luncheon pans Not that significantly, does it seem That Alex Neil has changed that much at all, So this sudden improvement on the green Has been players responding to the call And better late than not, if you ask me There was a patch not that so long ago, When they played tweedledum and tweedledee Taking a break, while watching the grass grow Whether home form can be maintained away Is quite another matter altogether, Especially when it´s lowly clubs we play We end the game feeling under the weather But this proves, at least, to me, what I thought That so far we are right to stick with Neil, It´s players who have not to be outfought And add to their skill, necessary steel And perhaps now they have just realised Just what it takes in this league to succeed, Blood, sweat and work rate cannot be disguised If we´re to reach once more the ´Land of Greed´ OTBC
Well Rick, if the players have actually learnt anything, and this is not just one more false dawn, then I´d say there are grounds for tentative optimism of a 3 - 6 finish, but there´s an awful lot that can go wrong yet. The top two have got too far away imo, and it would take an almighty crash for either of them to miss out on automatic, and they seem far too steady to give away that many points.
