My old mate Cliff, in his late seventies, sadly passed away on Tuesday after a long illness. In fact he last saw the Tigers at Wembley and never fully recovered. We had to,leave before the celebrations and he collapsed down Wembley Way on the way back to catch the special train. The only fans around were Bristol City and they were absolutely brilliant!! They helped him and we eventually made it back to Hull. He should never have gone but was determined as he said he'd never get another chance in his lifetime. He was in severe pain but when we arrived back in Hull he said "I was there" This game is infectious and I'm sure others have similar stories of resiliance and determination. R.I.P Cliff.
Glad he made it. Just shows what it means to us all. Lets again thank the Allams that we still have our future to look forward to.
R.I.P Cliff, Glad that you saw the greatest day todate of our history. Also nice that the Brizzie Boys that helped that day were appriciated.
Well said Dean, sums up what I was going to say when I read the first post. RIP Cliff, I'm sure the atmosphere is good watching the Mighty Tigers from Heaven too!
