I don't think we will have that much to spend magic wanderers!!! would be happy with Johnson ( if he wants to move and be hated by bluenoses for life)but should we sign someone who has already turned us down when more money was on the table??? , O hara is a must and should have been budgeted for back in Jan when signed on loan, so thats a given, speaking of which Shay Given may keep Wayne on his toes???? how about Jerome whilst we're all raiding blues. We have never been able to deal with him. This is the year we either break out the struggle at the end of the season or we get dragged in. the three that came up are all below us at the moment so Jez and MM should splash some cash to get us further away from them. First time post. peace out. enjoy the summer everyone, wear the shirt in pride!!!

Agree with SirJack, I would be surprised if we spend any more than 10 million after the oHara signing, with defence being the priority.

Not keen on another loan deal, would be better buying some cheap foreign player and taking our chances with that.

I think we're all agreed it's the defence that needs strengthening so long as we don't lose Doyler or Jarvo. I'd be happy if we can get O'Hara plus two or three reliable defenders and a keeper. Johnson would be good, and while we're there how about Ridgewell?

Ridgewell would be ok for the right price, but i can't see Birmingham selling too many players. 80% of their squad is talked about at the moment and pretty sure they will hold onto most until at least Jan.

Not sure about Ridgewell myself. I'd take Johnson though.

If you really believe any club will pay £1.3m for Halford, £2m for Mouyokolo, £1.3m for Keogh or £850,000 for Maierhofer, then you really are looking through rose-tinted (or should it be gold-tinted?) glasses. £2.5m for all of them would be a max.

They, and a bundle of others at Wolves, are ordinary Champ. level players at best. They are never Prem. quality.

As for getting Roger Johnson for £5m ... you must be joking. Mick is lining up Matt Mills, a player from Reading with only Champ. and lower level experience for £4m!!! Johnson would cost way more.

Nice dreams you have, but sadly not based in realism.

Mouyokolo is worth that much, as he showed at Hull. He just had a very injury hit season. We wont sell him until we are sure he wont live up to expectations. Halford may be a bit under £1 million, Keogh the same, and I'd just be happy to sell Maierhofer.

Many of our players our woth more to us than they will be to anyone else because we play so well as a team. For example, Edwards will not go anyway because he fits well into how we play (Man City home, Blackpool home...). Any other prem team would be desparate to unload him. This means that we will always keep some players who probably would not cut it anywhere else in the prem.

Roger Johnson should be nearing double figures, I agree. Not the £14 million Birmingham want. That is outrageous.

Yeah, any player who look like not making the first team during the duration of their contracts should be got rid off, ideally for a fee, but if not then give them away free, just to get rid of the wages.

Dave Jones said he wasn't signing a new contract a year ago, so we keep him and he leaves for free this summer. I would have gave him away on a free or if that was not possible got him to play every reserve team match.

He came on a four year contract. Let's see what he can do if and when he gets injury free. Too soon to offload him before he's had a proper chance. I do think we'd be better off letting the likes of Halford, Keogh and the Hoff go at a knock down price rather than continuing to pay their wages if Mick isn't going to use them. It's not like we've got money to burn.

Not heard that from any Wolves source but we are looking for a keeper to challenge Hennessey.

De Vries has been good whenever I've seen him, so may not be a bad signing on a free. However, I havent seen anything to make me believe the rumours yet.
