Diouf was at Clayton Wood today and we are the most likely to sign him.

Will that bring you up to at least whelmed? :D ;)

Not sure on this one, but we will have to wait and see who comes and goes before passing judgement on the bigger picture.

    Yup that's true JM.

for me this summer, it's who we keep that is important.

We have been linked with Diouf nearly as long as with good old Hugo!!!

I would take a punt on a championship player who is scoring for fun...Rhides for example.

If Hughes can't spot a good striker who can.

And with the massive TV money coming the Coates's can afford it, if they are not using the extra cash to top up the family pension fund.

I'm with you Nick, I'd put Bardsley in the Cattetmole file, behind the dustbin. I would of hoped there would of been much better RB's to be had.

I wouldnt have had the RB as a priority, except for back up. I think Cameron has done a fantastic job and I would prefer to stick with him than have to pay excessive wages to the likes of Richards etc. I think the Bardsley move is a player that can be a decent back up or rotation player in the defensive areas and I fear that we have seen the last of Wilko.

I wasnt aware of that, but it doesnt mean he wont be soled or sent out on loan. Either way, I cant see the need for 3 RB's in the squad. Bardsely was a free aswell, so it would seem a reasonable bit of business money wise.

Silly old me, but I thought that we had passed the point of being a team of Sunderland cast-offs.

I would like to see a good central defender or at least a better defensive midfielder come in, we gave a number of costly free kicks in poor areas that cost us points wise last campaign.

I would like us to bring in Rodwell and Lescott (as they are willing to take pay cuts) for these positions

I'd like Rodwell, not so sure on Lescott though. Maybe it was just playing challenging for the title that made him look bad, he was clearly good at Everton, but since then has seemed to be a bit of a donkey.

Wenger thinks he is a comedian! This is because they are linked with an £8 million bid for Begovic

    HAHAHA no.

He must be worth double that at least which is what United paid for De Gea. To us he is worth triple the fee speculated at.

Any transfer with that lot should include what has a technical term.

The 'Arsenalhole Syndrome' which is basically a multiplyer.

    E.G. Stoke to Arsenal £ X 3.75 X 10 = Fee.

They robbed us over.Dixon and Bould - never again

    To Date:

Assaidi - We want him and Liverpool want to sell but want 7 Million, probably a bit steep for a player who was not a regular starter and oly cost them 3 million. (On-going)
    Bardsley - Free (Signed)
Diouf - Free - Hopefully should be signed within the next few weeks, but likely to smash our wage structure. (On-Going)
Riviere - Supposed to be siging for 8 million soon. (On-going)
    Sidwell - (On-Going)
Sorenson - Free (Signed) 1 year contract for next season.
