If things are to be true don't you think this is strange? We spend a month haggling to get Suarez as low as possible with Ajax but then on deadline day we offer Newcastle ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã30m no questions for Andy Carroll - how did we go from stingy to splurgers in a few days. Don't get me wrong I like Andy Carroll and would love to see him in a red shirt but ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã30m as a first bid when we only put ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã12m on the table for Suarez???
I was just about to post this!! It's quite a desperate move IMO.. Carroll is not a 30 million player! The prices in this window are stupid it's soo annoying what football is becoming!
If we're that desperate, why not take Forlan for ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã9m I know he's an ex-manc but it would piss on 'arry's fireworks, I'm pretty sure there are cheaper options around which are easier to acquire at short notice. Whats Djbrill Cisse up to now-a-days??
Well, I don't think they have to time to be going in at 12 and haggling. I think 30 was a take it or leave it offer, if it actually happened. Also, it's obvious they're looking at big target men for knock downs in and around the box, so I'm not sure Rossi will have even been looked at.
If Spurs get Forlan, what about a bid for Crouch? The transfer window is like a line of dominoes at the moment. One move will start a chain of moves
Forlan is the same age as Anelka and his Premier League record ain't good. Too much of a risk for me. If we're going to get an emergency buy let's get somebody with a resale value in case they don't work out.
