TBH I would have been very happy to have him at OT as a partner to Bailly but, the ankle injury coupled with the price tag has put me off.
I know nothing of Lindelof (the guy we bought) but knew nothing of Bailly either and he seems like a bargain at the moment so I am hoping it goes well with the pair.

Liverpool are set to avoid any disciplinary action over their attempts to sign Virgil van Dijk.

The revelation comes despite the club being forced to publicly apologise for "tapping up" the Southampton defender.

The Saints have not withdrawn their initial complaint after they alleged Liverpool made an illegal approach to try and sign the Dutch international

 

To be fair, lindelof is a cracking player. Pretty much has everything plus room to develop further.

Initial withdrawal was a tactical master piece by Liverpool. "Cat and mouse game"

 

Is that because despite the apology, there wasn't really a case to answer or have Liverpool and Southampton both indicated that a deal is likely and therefore not really worth pursuing by the premier league?

 

The apology was made simply to ensure that we can still do a deal in future. Soton were pissed off that we killed a bidding war and we're getting VVD for less than expected - then they played dirty, reported us and now we have to pander to them.
