    Though Geraghty did say that visitors to C of C would be able to see how the people of Hull love their sport. Not only do they love their rugby league, they love their wrestling and darts...

    From memory, I don't think it was actually the cost of the event itself, it was the cost of the required road improvements that were the issue.

    Despite the race not coming to Hull, Radio Humberside are the lead broadcaster for the event and have taken over the airwaves of Radio York, Radio Leeds and Radio Sheffield for the afternoon.

    You will be disappointed to hear people were indeed stood up. A surge towards the barriers could have resulted in disaster. Frail people and kids won't have been able to see. When will they catch up and make these events all seater?

    For some reason(probably H&S) they've moved the finish from it's usual position,moving it further down towards South Bay meaning you can't sit/stand on the banking of North Bay to watch the finish.
