I've just watched Ibramovitch score for PSG and just for a minute I could see him scoring for us.............if he got a service of course. Oh well.I can dream!!!!
It is possible that being out of Europe might help the team jell if the same team gets picked instead of playing reserves in the Europa cup games. But then again,it is now February and if the team hasn't "jellied" by now..........
The Europa League is I agree a curse. Just a grind with hardly any financial rewards and little chance of winning with the Champs League teams coming in later. Play a 2nd team from the start if we are unluckily going to qualify for it.
As we may not win the Europa or anything else this season,I'm beginning to wonder if we will ever win anything in our lifetimes......perhaps our players might want to enter a cribbage league or something!
It's nearly impossible to win anything in the present climate for us and many others. We had a chance a couple of years ago but that was destroyed by egotistical leadership. Know we are so far away and the the others on another planet. If we ever get a chance again our board will rip the quality out of the team for financial gain and put us always knocking at the door. Two decades of no glory , our worst since The great Depression .
Just seen this on the beeb site - http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26000458 Apparently injured himself playing beach football - will miss 6 matches. You just couldn't make this stuff up - the Gooners knew but still signed him!
We've all been laughing about this on the rival's thread. The Gooners were initially in denial. Now, they are trying to make out that it was a master-stroke by Whinger to sign an injured player who's only objective was to cover short-term injuries. No, you really could not make this up! Yet again, Arsenal proves itself to be the clown club of the Prem!
I joked on the Chadli thread that we were supposed to be signing the Nigerian Neymar, but apparently he's also compared to Iniesta. No pressure. 16-year-old Musa Yahaya has apparently agreed to sign a pre-contract at the Lane, turning down the likes of Ajax to join us. Did well in the U17 World Cup, though I'm not sure that's very meaningful.
I agree that it's pretty meaningless as a barometer of a player's potential, though I believe Coulibaly's issues are more off the pitch than on.
We're planning a summer move for Joel Veltman, according to reports. We really have turned Ajax into our feeder club, haven't we?
...really? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...enal-manchester-united-transfers-joel-3124383 http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...-and-City-over-Joel-Veltman-and-Davy-Klaassen
Yes http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-transfers-joel-veltman-ajax-3138753 http://metro.co.uk/2014/02/13/tottenham-lead-the-chase-for-young-ajax-star-joel-veltman-4302583/
no....I said really, as in the truth. You tell me why your excitable sources are any more accurate...or inaccurate than mine, which say the top3 want him...and of the two sets of unreliable 'sources' why you've chose to side with that one. I'm beginning to panic now you actually believe it , would you not think its a better idea to laugh at such a report? Its not my fault there are as many stories out there contradicting yours, I'm merely helping you with info you must have missed before such an assertive claim on here.
