Just realised the mistake with Pochettinos' starting formation : He choose to wear those shocking green football boots again. <Spurcat>
2 attempts on target in the first 80 minutes then 8 attempts in the final 10 and added on time. Talk about keeping on going. A thing that really stood out was how none of the players celebrated the equaliser...they just ran back to get ghe game restarted...compare that to the goons wasting all that time celebrating a similarly late equaliser against Bournemouth earlier this season. The players do seem focused...credit where it's due...they really wanted all 3 points. Lets hope they keep this run going v watford on Saturday. I got a ticket to it! Have been jammy enough to get a ticket to that match, the semi final, the NLD and the United match ... COYS
Sissoko wore green boot too...was wondering if he was so **** cos he couldn't figure out what was grass and what were his feet
Stop giving me hope, Spurs, it's ****ing cruel! Anyway, back to playing Persona 5 until stupid o'clock in the morning for the third night running...
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: "We started the game very well and created some chances in the first few minutes. In that moment I think we feel the game is going to be easy. The perception from the touchline was that the players started to play at a low tempo. When we concede the goal we realise we need to push and increase our level. "How the goals arrived at the end was crazy but we pushed, we played better and we created chances to win. It is a good example of the team never giving up and trying to the end. Big credit to the players, they showed big character. "The most important thing is the badge. When you play for Tottenham it is not about the names it is about the team and the spirit. You would like to have all your players available but this season we are showing we are a team."
I thought when Sissoko ballsed up that pass to an unmarked colleague and they practically ran down the other end and scored in the early minutes,it was going to be one of those days. Hat's off to the boys. We don't usually finish like that.
Played 15 ( 7 away 8 home) Won 12 (4 away 8 home) Drawn 2 (both away) Lost 1 (away) 38 points out of 45 For 36 Against 11 7 clean sheets That's our league record since losing to united on 11th December 2016. Very impressive more so when you consider we have won our last 5 matches after losing to Liverpool.
Danny Murphy on MOTD (after the Liverpool match) said he was confident that Liverpool would come in the top 4 as the clubs around keep dropping points. Liverpool are 3rd (12 points behind Chelsea and 5 behind spurs having played 1 game more than both) and have played 31 matches and have 60 points. City have 58 points and a game in hand Arsenal have 54 pts and 2 games in hand United have 54 pts and 2 games in hand God knows how that makes you confident Particularly as Mane is out for the season and they only won 1 game when he was absent due to the ACON competition in January and early February and that was in the FA cup against Plymouth.
I gave up at half time and decided to opt for the latter part of Dierhard's former handle. Nice to wake up and see the score though.
Talking of former England goalkeepers, I always remember that Essex girls preferred Seaman to Flowers.
