    Wednesday 14th December 8pm
    Premier League
    White Hart Lane

A second away loss leaves us a little adrift of the top four and too close to Man Utd for comfort.
This is exactly the sort of game that we need to win and win well, if we're going to change that.
Our total lack of creativity and penetration against Utd will need to improve dramatically.
We've got back-to-back home game before Christmas and need all six points.

Hull are just as desperate for them, if not more so.
Their recent run of poor form has seen them dip into the relegation zone, following a good start.
Various ex-players will want to make a mark against us, too.

There was no equivalent fixture last season, as Hull spent the campaign in the Championship.
The last meeting between the two teams was in May 2015, in the penultimate game that year.
The two sides were only one place different to today's standings, with Hull in 18th and Spurs 6th.

The visitors fought hard in the first half and nearly took the lead, as Jelavic hit the woodwork.
They spurned other chances and the sides remained level at the break.
A rejuvenated Spurs side came out firing and took the lead through Nacer Chadli after 10 minutes.
Danny Rose followed it up quickly and those missed chances haunted Hull.

**** music and bad Danny Rose haircut warning:

The away game that season was even worse for Hull, as they took the lead early.
Jake Livermore did what all good ex-players do and scored against his old club.
The home side hung onto that lead until half-time, but it changed shortly after the break.
Gaston Ramirez kicked out and was dismissed, leaving his teammates in trouble.
Kane and Eriksen reversed the scoreline and leaving the the ten men of Hull distraught.

Learn some Italian, avoid **** music and wonder at Soldado's finishing:

No suspension's for this one, though Vertonghen's still one card away from one.
Dembele and Janssen are injured and Lamela's back in training, but probably won't play.
Hull have no suspensions either. Keane and Hernandez miss out through injury.

Lineups for each side's last league game:

Spurs: Lloris; Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Wanyama, Dembele; Eriksen, Alli, Son; Kane.
Subs: Vorm, Wimmer, Davies, Dier, Winks, Sissoko, N'Koudou.
    League form: DDWLWL.

Hull: Marshall; Davies, Dawson, Maguire; Robertson, Clucas, Livermore, Huddlestone, Elmohamady; Diomande; Snodgrass.
Subs: Jakupovic, Mason, Henriksen, Weir, Meyler, Maloney, Bowen.
    League form: LWLDLD.

    Referee: Andre Marriner.

    TV: Not televised.

Will Pochettino make some changes for this one and if so, then who should miss out?
Will Sissoko make a start, following his decent sub appearance at Old Trafford?
Do we need to make any changes to the system?

Will be good to see some familiar faces, Daws should get a huge reception while Ry, Jake and Hudd should also receive very warm ones. Hopefully none of them decide to play out of their skins and harm us, Snodgrass is probably their danger man so keeping him quiet will be key. Kane is my FPL captain and I've used my triple captain card today so I'm praying he's got his scoring boots well and truly laced up.

    Lloris
    Walker, Toby, Jan, Rose
    Dier, Wanyama
    Sissoko, Eriksen, Son
    Kane

Vorm, Kev, Tripps, Winks, Alli, GKN, Onomah

    COYS!

If the theory that ex players always score against you is right, we will get pasted tonight <grr>

Me and my girls are going so with all due respect to Dawson, Livermore and Mason I really hope you get a great reception but have a truely awful match!

We've struggled badly in the creativeness department this season so I'd rest Wanyama (completely overworked already) and play Winks alongside Dier. Let the lad show what he can do with the WHL crowd behind him.

I was worried for a second that I wouldn't make any changes to your selection for the first time in over 100 matches. Doomsday averted <laugh>

Oh and since I haven't been a miserable bastard for a few days, just wanted to say that Poch's pre-match comments royally pissed me off. Sounded very much like a certain Harry Redknapp in the last months of his Spurs reign.

I would legitimately be concerned if you agreed with me on selections, CK.

Although weirdly enough, I agree with the idea of Winks for Wanyama! <laugh>

I can only see us getting well and truly smashed, but who knows. Mason won't play, but hopefully Huddlestone, Livermore and Dawson play out of their skins!

  13. All I ask is that GKN gets a decent runout..... that and the fact that if there was a game to rotate keeper and LB then this would be it. But apparently it isn't <doh>

Dier and Wanyama start against Hull....at home. Hmmmmm, are we sure that's necessary?

So much for the reports that Winks would start...

Well well well, looks like you were spot on with yours! No idea why we need 2 DM's. No disrespect to Hull but Winks has surely shown enough to get a chance and Wanyama has surely played enough to have a rest.

And nice to see Davies back. Very useful player whose absence was sorely felt in the Chelsea game.

Unless we're switching to three centre-halves. Even that would be odd.

This game doesn't warrant two DMs. Nkoudou could easily get a start in this one. Another strange team sheet by Poch
