Massive, massive win. Not pretty but these were the kind of wins Fergie specialised in and the kind we will need to master if we are to win major trophies. Complete turd first half, completely dominant second half playing against the Allardyce Bus. It needed a moment of magic to break the deadlock and Eriksen obliged. We march on.
Job done. Eriksen looking on for 10 PL goals (which will be 4 Spurs players on 10+ PL goals this season) .
And in the end, some character. Eriksen has to be the most underrated player in football. He may just be the best player in the PL this year. He was certainly a class above today. I really liked how Pochettino was willing to sub off Wanyama and Dembele at half time for getting carded and losing his cool, respectively. Sissoko had one of his best efforts today. He didn't do anything special, but played his part in helping a team regain their composure in the second half.
I'm off to the Prem Board to take the piss out of Skiddy on his "Palace v Spurs" Matchday thread. "Wummery gone spectacularly wrong" at its absolute finest!
That win will make such a huge difference. We're t ahome, with an amazing record. Any crap feeling from last weekend will be forgotten about now. Can't wait for Sunday. COYS
Give Walker his due. Was having one of those nights but never hid and kept an incredible effort going!!
Sometimes results are all that matters. We got what we needed against a solid in form team. Can't ask for much more.
Would love for Spurs to trounce Arsenal on Sunday, and for that to spark Wenger's sacking! Imagine the field day I'd have with that!
I'm always taking the piss out of Sissoko, but he worked hard tonight and probably had his best game for us.
Well, I am genuinely surprised Spurs managed to win that match. It was not easy, and we all know how good Palace are at the moment. Fortunately, Spurs had one bit of magic from Eriksen and that was enough. Proud of the team, some shoddy performances but everyone put the effort in. Can't ask for more as this stage of the season when everyone is knackered!
A win yes but sacking? No, no, no. I much prefer an Arsenal death by a thousand cuts. A quick one is far too humaine!
Very professional job once we went 1-0 up. Tough match against an in form side but you'll always take a 1-0 against Palace and we frequently have to. Fantastic strike from Eriksen to make the breakthrough. Think Pochettino did well swapping Toby and Dier around in the first half as Benteke tends to drift out to his left, our right. He's a handful when he's fit and we kept him very quiet. Walker was out of sorts tonight, I do wonder whether Trippier started the semi because Kyle's not 100%. On we go. A win on Sunday guarantees we finish above Arsenal and obviously helps us with potentially more. COYS
In the end thats a great win, second half we were completely dominant. Great goal and now on to the NLD. Can I just ask - I don't often watch matches live on Sky but is Alan Smith always so much of an arse?
