Not here to wum guys, but that's as poor as I've seen you this season. The goals will come in when kanes back but until then best to prepare for more disappointing results. What do you think of your new signings? Seems like a collection of Kane being out and erikssen and lolema not filling in adequately with the goals has left you slightly worse off than you'd expect at this stage.
*Eriksen. Our front men have been far too hit and miss this season, and whilst it would be lovely if that was simply down to Kane's absence as his return will be like waving a magic wand, the flipside of this is that would make us as much of a one man team as we were with Bale, something that Poch initially looked like having the perfect approach to counteracting. Of the new boys, only Wanyama has stood out as excellent value for money. Sissoko stands out for being quite the opposite. N'Koudou looks like a bright spark but realistically probably won't get enough game time to really show what he can do and why we spent 2 months trying to sign him remains a mystery. Janssen needs Kane more than anyone to teach him how to play PL football. Beast of a player with excellent work rate, but his decision making and reading of the game are clearly lacking. It does look as though we'll be consigning the games played between the 2 international breaks to Room 101. In a weird way, a defeat on Sunday may well finally wake these guys up and we'll see a newly reinvigorated team after the next batch of England's crap. Maybe.
id say the same of a victory against the goons, often as you know, going into a derby as the non form team can be a boost, confidence looks low at the moment but a derby match can be just what the dr ordered. agree with what you said regarding the new boys in the side, wanyama is the only one to hit the ground running, im sure sissoko will come good as he has experience in english football and looked a real player at newcastle, with him its just a case of new team mates and learning their game i would suggest. i had the goons down for a win but after your result and pochs vocal disappointment at the display id imagine somewhat of a backlash for arsenal on the weekend, if you convert the chances youll get of course.
Agreed. I've said on our prediction league that a draw would be the worst possible result for us at it would be taken as 2 points lost for Arsenal and a nice plaster for us to paper over the cracks for a few more weeks. I'm afraid the 'chances' you're talking about are so few and far between at the moment that a win is looking very, very unlikely. Compared to last season when we were regularly conjuring 15+ shots on goal per game and averaging 3 goals per game, it is a far cry. No-one on here was excited at the Sissoko signing and it looks like our fears were well-founded. He quite literally has one strength: running very quickly in a straight line with the ball. Nothing else. This would be marvelous if we were an Olympic curling team, but we're not. Wanyama has been really impressive and my opinion of him grows every time I see him play. I'd even say he's eclipsed Dier in that DM position and has made himself first choice.
Isn't that a cricket club in Kent? Sure I have played there years ago. Or maybe it was on Midsummer Murders?? Edit: It's the Sir Paul Getty cricket ground at Stokenchurch. Not in Kent but I did play there (in 1976!!!!) and it did also feature in an MM's episode. The cricket match was filmed at Wormsley Park, former home of Sir Paul Getty, where he built a replica of The Oval cricket ground.
