I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Bonucci, a superb ball playing centre back in the classic Italian mould. What a player.

He's a terrific player - Conté is reportedly after him.

Defenders often get forgotten. For instance, Paolo Maldini was one of the greatest players ever to play the game, imo.

Would have loved to have had him and Pirlo in their prime.

And Bobby Moore was arguably one of England's greatest ever players.

Bobby was an enigma, never looked ultra classy but what defined him like all world class players he always looked like he had loads of time to do what he did in any situation. Another in my team of greats.

Rose would be a great acquisition as our door stop has left under health reasons.

Rob Naylor was my best buy, I bought him from Ipswich, he scored over 100 league goals a season for 4 seasons in a row.

    ^^^^^^^^^^

Pay attention, boys and girls. This is what years of following Man Utd can do to you!

Just a sorry shell of a man is all that remains!

Depends which group playing with. In primary school I was usually midfield. With Cub scouts team I was normally a forward. Didn't bother in high school.

I was always mediocre. Never anything special but definitely not the worst. My biggest problem is that I'm not a sprinter.

When I did indoor league with over 30s (until the astroturf knackered my knees) I normally did play defense, although that was primarily because we didn't have set positions and I was the only one disciplined enough to actually hold back and tackle/break up opposition's runs.
