Hardly. Bruce signed a 3 year contract. Within those 3 years, he aimed to get us promoted. If he did get us promoted in his first season, it would be a phenomenal achievement. If he doesn't get us up in his first season, however, then it's nothing major, he would still have 2 seasons to achieve his target!
What a massive pile of steaming horse ****e. Most of your lot expected you'd go up under Sven, none of our lot expected us to go up (and stay up) under Browny. Nothing is 'seriously wrong' other than the way in which your brain works. No, I don't 'expect' promotion. We've got a chance. If we do go up, great. If we don't nevermind.
Any change of opinion now we're 2nd, 13 points clear of 7th whilst you're bottom of the form table and just got torn a new 'un at home by P'boro.
Trying to convince TC to see things logically Hitler trying to convince the allied nations that all he'd done wrong was take Ballet Lessons with a Jewish Instructor. It's not going to happen. In TC's World, Millwall are probably going to manage to finish 4th and go up via Play offs.
Revised Top 6 Standings: 1) Cardiff City - Too far ahead to get caught now, past the time for bottling it now IMO. Champions. 2) Watford - Look unstoppable, great attacking football, great form, gained 2nd spot. The away fixture at the KC Stadium vs Hull looks vital for deciding who gets automatic. Still a slight chance of both Watford and Hull catching Cardiff up, but very doubtful. 3) Hull City - Taken their foot off the gas of late. Hopefully they can recover from their drubbing at the Reebok and get back on a good run. Need to sustain the chase for 2nd spot with the crucial Watford fixture at the KC coming up. 4) Leicester City - Very, very good strike force. Had a torrid February but ol' flat top should get them back on track. Solid defence, still snooping around for 2nd place if Hull and Watford slip up. Certain for Play offs at minimum IMO. 5) Crystal Palace - Able to scrape together good results and always potent in attack with Zaha, Murray, Bolasie etc at their disposal. Another possibility for 2nd should the teams above drop points. 6) Brighton and Hove Albion - Stringing together some very good results including wins over Hull and Cardiff recently, and have definitely got faulty Middlesbrough on the backwards track. Should make the top 6 unless Sammy Ameobi can spurr 'Boro back into form.
& Then you get torn a new 'un by Bolton - funny old game At least we did you a favour by beating Yorkshire giants Middelsbrough
I can't see Udinese giving up that second spot. So frustrating. Both Hull and Leicester will be left to dwell on stupid errors. IMO. I think that we'll be fighting for 3rd whereas Watford will open a bit of a gap, strong possibility of them catching Cardiff. They're unstoppable at the moment.
Didn't answer my question TC, do you still think we won't finish in the top 6? As for getting "torn a new 'un" only in the first 8 minutes, we actually dominated the game just had a horror show at the start. I don't know who 'Middelsbrough' are (has Proud been giving you spelling lessons?), but you didn't do us any favours.
It was a minor favour. 'Boro are on a bit of a slump at the moment so it's not that great a scalp. The 6 points you gave us was a much better favour IMO.
Was you torn another new 'un by Palarse? Do you remember when I said don't be suprised if Watford and Palarse finish 1st and 2nd? And we could still go down
That wasn't down to a performance though, we played well up until we realised that Palace were willing to dive on every challenge and win the free-kick. Our players backed off them and let them have room so that we didn't give any away and it worked like a charm for Palace. 2 Penalties in one game puts them on 14 penalties this Season. It's clearly a game plan...
Just thought I'd remind people of this thread. I hope you enjoy reading the drivel some of you posted about us, which came back to shoot you in the head.
