For me we have this hierarchy, and chain being feed within Bristol Sport, all being paid a handsome amount of money. Why not put the pot together, and then invest in a manager that has the experience,Knowledge, too take the football club to the next level. For me there seems too many chiefs and not enough indians at present.
You could merge this within your multitude of negative posts. You appear to have a view that Bristol Sport runs BCFC. It does not. Bristol Sport are business people creating income for Bristol Sports associated sports groups. Asking Bristol City directors to do similar via redundancies (?), and merging roles would almost certainly decrease income. The next questions will almost certainly be a waste of time. You have been asked before (X??) and failed to answer. Which Manager? What experience and how do you envisage he would fit in with the financial constraints of Bristol City?
i have clearly put my cards on the table IF they would be interested then Alan Pardew, Nigel Pearson, and to a lesser extent Gary Rowett
We have not got the income, or funds required, but if we had spent what has been spent,i think we could have done a far better job on what has gone before.
RR please just stop spouting cliche's which you don't even mean. Too many chief's?! The main criticism is that we don't have any leaders in our team, etc. You're just saying stuff because it sounds good now.
Rather have a top manager than all the chiefs around Bristol Sport. After all my club is Bristol City FC and not all the trimmings of Bristol Sport.
Except I just said that we don't have any leaders. How is that as bad as LJ? I've actually criticised the team, it's really not that hard to comprehend
RR == CHIEF'S, MEANING MANAGEMENT OR TEAM? BCROB == NO LEADERS IN THE TEAM, NOWT TO DO WITH CHIEF'S , WHO EXACTLY DO YOU NOMINATE AS POSSIBLE LEADERS IN THE TEAM???
What if Alan Pardew, Nigel Pearson, and to a lesser extent Gary Rowett doesn't want to come here?? Then who?
Surley if we want a proper manager SL could bring one of these guys in. Pearson was very complimentary of us when he was linked to us and was asked about us when LJ was handed the job on a plate. Alan Pardew in my opinion has always been a straight talking guy,has said in years gone buy Bristol is a big job for someone. Two guys that potentially could take this football club too the next level.
The two are not connected i.e. Bristol Sports Executive Andrew Billingham will not be involved in any process that selects a Manager. His role relates to financial and commercial operations.
But surely these people are being paid handsome salaries from the incomes that football,Rugby, and the lesser activaties generate.
In part. Outsourcing activities from Bristol City, the rugby into one umbrella organisation saves the FC money and the rugby according to Directors at Q&A's - That does make sense. Ultimately Bristol City does not own Ashton Gate. Bristol City are tenants of Mr Lansdown. Fans do not appear to be unhappy with this status quo.
I understand what you're saying, but I'm pretty sure I read that Bristol City Holdings technically owns Ashton Gate.
